Yeah you're definitely getting closer, that's looking good. I tried to fiddle with it before when you first linked it, but hair textures are definitely not something I can do and hers seems even more complicating than most. It was almost like a puzzle trying to figure out where exactly the cutoff point is.

Yeah, I take that back. I spent a few hours just tweaking that freaking hair... *sigh* Why did I even bother... I swear that front part is just effing impossible. I could align the 2 parts behind, but the front one is a friggin black box, who knows how the uv map works for that one. It's like one small area of the texture is being stretched and rotated to god knows where. I put it in the attachment in case anyone wants to test it, see if it's better than the last one. If anyone could get this to work, he must be smarter than Einstein or have the patience of Buddha or.. both. The quality has also dropped to sh*t now. Originally it looked like this. Now it looks like crap.
I know that feeling all to well.. spending so much time on something and in the end it feels like it was for naught. It still looks good at least from a head on "texture perspective" lol, I'll give it a spin here in a little while.
When I messed with it, I was trying to color spots on it with a bright pink trying to figure out where the front part or her head actually is on the texture. I did come close to getting an idea of where, then I tried to paste hair from a different part of the texture and blend it, but.. that didn't go so well lol. The image you linked before where you were using a model was definitely a lot better of a technique. And even then, it still seemed funky trying to figure out where everything lined up. Edit: Ok got to it a little quicker than I thought. I think it looks great. If I had to complain about anything (and trust me, I'm not complaining at all), is that one little spot seems too dark. Spoiler: Really, this is as good as it gets with me and trying to do hair and face textures: Spoiler: Yeah. I tried the color marking method too but even after I figured where the spot was, I still couldn't make the hair to look right. Like when I tried to make that hair strand face one direction, it ended up in another.. or sometimes it didn't even appear at all. Well, after calming down a bit maybe it wasn't totally for naught. I did figure out one thing; it's impossible, one hundred percent, impossible. Case closed. May you rest in peace Sharla's hair. Edit: Let me add a bit more detail. Thing is, imagine a bitmap of.. let's say 10x30 being stretched to cover the front part of the hair. Now this area of 10x30 is already at 4x the original resolution and it's still that small, so it's really technically impossible to even add "details" to that front part, let alone align it. Edit 2: Can you try this one? I've removed the dark spot, hopefully it works.
Yeah I'm liking this a lot, thanks! You definitely got it all to line up perfectly (that honestly deserves some kind of gold trophy ). The top of her head is just a bit lighter than the rest, but I couldn't even tell until I zoomed way in. And with all her various head gears, very few are probably ever going to notice. The only reason I did is because I knew what to look for. All the strands of her hair seem to line up perfect which is the most important part.

Lolyea, thanks for testing it. Yeah, the lighting in the menu screen seems to be brighter/something, idk. Same case as Dunban. I couldn't check it in milkshape for that reason; the in-game lighting is different. Though oddly enough, I didn't get that much trouble with Dunban, everything lined up perfectly.
