I'm not sure how much you messed with the settings, but right under the "Extension" section where you select Classic there is the Rumble section. I can get it to Rumble in the popup box through the test option, but I have yet to feel it rumble in game.
Is that about as far as you got too? I'm guessing that either the game itself or the emulator doesn't bother sending signals for the authentic classic controller as it doesn't have rumble support.
Edit: Does Xenoblade have rumble support to begin with? I've only ever played it with a classic controller / xbox 360 controller.
