I have one problem with the PS3 controller textures - it looks like the X button is assigned to where 'a' would be on the classic controller. Is it assumed that the player switched the controls for those buttons? Maybe Layberneth plays that way, I dunno - I like the default controls
I know the obvious answer is to just rename the textures, which I have done. But there appear to be two textures in the folder (SX4P01_3399a439_8.png and SX4P01_8905c312_9.png) that don't have any equivalents of the other buttons. One is the X button at an angle, and the other is a larger O button texture.

Does anyone know where these are used, or if they're even important?
Edit: The larger circle button is seen at the start of combat in the middle of the screen, and the oblong X button is used to advance dialog. If I were to make replacements for these, would anyone be interested in me posting them here?
Also, is there any texture pack for just the Classic Controller button layout that I may have missed? That might be nice to fall back on.
And yes post them.
There is no texture pack just for the classic controller button layout yet.

Or would it be negligible assuming your graphics card can hold the higher textures? It should slow down at first when you load them up (probably depends on your computer). After that, it shouldn't slow down. Maybe occasionally it'll slow down, but at least on my computer, the textures haven't affected the speed of the game.

There hasn't been an update in awhile because a lot of the people that used to work on this don't work on it anymore for various reasons, and I've been busy with my own stuff.
That said, this may sound sort of like a needy question but I see a ton of progress since Rev. 4.1U back in September 2012. Has there been a new pack compiled since then that I am somehow missing, or is this project becoming more of a "pet" project for individual texture uploads?
Don't get me wrong, I'm fine either way. I saw some pretty amazing armor and weapon updates some pages back and I would love the chance to play the game with them. With my limited artistic ability I'm at a loss to upgrade any on my own.
Thanks again!

Poweredbykimchi might do a compiled update at some point, but I don't want to speak for him. Thanks, that definitely clarifies!
A few pages ago I posted a two part rar that contained most of the uploads made since the 4.1 release in addition to my own dumps/retextures. It's not really anything official, and is a little more complex to install than the official pack although still pretty easy. It's organized mostly so people can pick and choose what they want to install, and so that any person talented in photo shop can rework the tougher to do textures without having to dig around for the texture ID.
In regards to the Armor and weapon retextures, the person who posted those has been pretty silent since then and I doubt he is still working on them. No one else has said anything else about working on those textures.
I see that Messiagov had dumped a ton of textures for the game, before I go fooling around with them does anyone know if these include world textures or if they are isolated only to icons/characters/etc?
I'm not talented with Photoshop but my girlfriend is and I'm willing to give some editing a shot.
