I noticed that about Melia and "7". Their high tension portrait seems to be the same everywhere, and there's only two IDs for their normal portrait. Not sure why that is, but I'll take it.

Also, I think I'd rather see a "Replace All Faces With Ron Jeremy" mod, mostly for the reaction when showing off screenshots.

Well, I found out something lame. Apparently the collectopaedia has it's own set of "small borders" IDs for the pop-up when you click on a box to submit an item to it.... and I haven't been loading the screen at all. I didn't see any dialog boxes there when I started, so I figured it was one less screen I had to load while dumping.

Man.

I'll add to the lameness. This also appears to be the same for "not enough skill points" or the "level up skill" windows in the arts menu.

I've been dumping those. Smile

Unless the both have their own unique set (one for not enough points, one for confirmation). If they do, that sucks. It appeared to me that they shared a set, because the number of files in my dump folder didn't increase when I loaded both (I watch it while I dump to know whether or not I'm dumping anything.)

The save screen also has it's own.

I'm pretty certain they are unique. I was running around valak mt. and the one was textured but the other wasnt'.

Maybe they share with something else? Mine are all retextured, and I can't get any new ones to dump no matter where I go. I'll look more into it later on.

I'm working on a little something extra besides dumping at the moment. Probably annoy people, but I'm gonna post it anyway. Let's just hope Echoes still wants to help a little :p

Okay, so today I spent a few hours organizing some UI stuff I think that should be made to match, and or fix. Whoever did the original retexture of the UI took a lot of creative liberties and with the recent awesome (and close to the original) work of Echoes, there's a couple parts I think should be reworked. I actually tried to use some of Echoes' stuff to "fix" the old retextures, but they all looked bad and still weren't the right colors. Anyway, some sample screen shots:

I have more screenshots inside too in order to get an idea where things go. It's also worth noting that the original texture for the "MapScreen/StoryQuest bar" has a slightly bluish/brown color going on. As far as I can tell no other UI element has that by default, and should probably just be made brown to match the rest.

Also, there's the in combat icon that pops up whenever a status effect occurs:

Now, this is probably the only texture in the game I want to change. I think it's stupid and makes no sense. As far as I can tell, the icon only pops up with abilities that use status effects. I think we should try and find a completely new texture for it that makes sense. The book has to go. The ID is unique and doesn't interfere with any other icons.

Lastly, this (you maybe have to zoom in):

The circle around the portrait has something funny going on with the borders, and the inner golden ring looks more brown than gold and also appears off center (top left area seems thinner than the rest of the circle).

I've included all of the files in the zip below. All of the files have unique IDs, so you should be able to see them at any point in the game. I've included both the retextures (where applicable) and the original files, along with some notes on each one. Most of them just need to be redone to match the rest of the UI. I believe there are 10 UI textures inside, and some of them are pretty similar. Obviously this sort of thing isn't going to happen quickly, and maybe not at all. I just thought I'd put together a pack in case someone was bored and wanted something to do, they would have all of the materials on hand and in one place.

The reason I was asking about that whole menu before, was because I wanted to do the whole thing. So yeah, I'll try to do that center one and the one at the top left, with the "Area List" text. Thanks for putting them all together, it makes things easier. I may take some time to do them, but hopefully I can manage one or two per day (Or more if it gets easier than expected). I still need to finish toning down the large corner pieces, which, by the way, do you guys think it looks over the top or what? Nobody said anything. XD

Anyway, Alekzanderk was the one who made that whole menu back then. He pretty much redesigned the whole thing, and even made it metallic blue-ish. I think the one you use now is a color edit by poweredbykimchi.

Regarding the character circles, I remember making some for the affinity screen that ended up looking awful at the time, because I didn't know what I was doing. Maybe that happened there too? Either way, that one should be simple enough to fix.

Also, That "I don't even know" texture is probably a texture used for extending things or something like that.
