I see. You go out of your way to try to not be confusing, and it confuses me. Haha.

Also, Narcku, I think Dixon has a second hair texture. I'm not sure though, I'm going to mess with this texture to see if it effects him next time he shows up. I noticed that the last time he was in my game, most of his hair looked really good, but the back looked kinda blurry. I don't know, I could be wrong.

I'm also I'm going to upload a zip file of all of the HD faces we have so far so you can compare what we have and what you have. Bighead and I have been replacing any existing face textures with yours, since they are usually a much higher res. So this zip should contain all of your faces you've uploaded so far. Obviously you don't have to (and probably shouldn't if you going to make your own) use these, I just want you to be aware of what we have. I'm working with so many folders and subfolders now that when someone uploads a "new" texture, I have to make sure it isn't going to conflict with something I already have. If I was just toss your new Dickson face into the wrong folder so that there were two different files with the same name in my load folder, I'm not sure how Dolphin would choose between loading which texture. Probably first come, first server. That would get sloppy. Anyway, sorry. I get long-winded.

Also, as a heads up: Alvin's ears are still goofy.

Lol that often happens to me. I do something to simply everything but in the end, I turned a straight line into a maze.

Had to comment on the folders thing, it is overwhelming at times but somehow I keep it straight. I now have 103 batch folders lol (plus all those folders in the texture pack), and I'm sure you probably have a few more batch folders now because there's some things I haven't started on yet. I think the only thing that's frightening is a >wrong< texture accidentally ending up in one of those folders. I actually go through all of them before I run the script, which takes awhile but I'm OCD and don't want like a shulk face ending up in the quest log or something. That's not to say I haven't made that error so far, there's really no way to tell at this point, but I feel like I haven't messed up yet... and that time I sent you a "bonus file" doesn't count!

Haha! I won't hold the bonus file against you, since we caught it. Smile (Also, that bastard bonus file is in my load folder now so it won't dump again.)

I do the same thing; check all of my folders with a base.png file in it to make sure everything matches before I run the batch. I have quite a lot of batch folders too, I don't even want to look at how many Tongue. So I guess that makes me just as OCD and paranoid as you are. All of those bars get really confusing, they're probably the worst. Last night I want to do is put a corner in the wrong folder or something.

I changed the hue of the yellow gem because to me it had a tint of green to it. This looks more yellow. I'm liking how these gems look in game.

Haha, yes! Those look great. I still haven't even got to play yet today. I've been reorganizing files/folders, batching stuff from last night, and posting here. I'll update that gem texture.

Edit: I get super excited (way more than I should) every time I run your script to automatically rename/retexture/whatever all of those files in one go. I actually cackle sometimes as it's running. Just as an FYI.

And as of this post - There are 26,407 (1.42GB) retextured files in my Load folder now. That includes everything you sent me at the beginning and everything that's been dumped/retextured since. Obviously includes any updates people have posted as well.

Yeah, I was just about to test that now. I think there may be several Dixons, the one from the very beginning of game(not NG+), and another one for the rest of the game. Out of these two Dixons, there are probably several duplicate textures as well(probably not random, just used on different scenes).

Thanks for reminding me about the ear. I'll try to fix it now.

Edit: Lol fun fact.. the Dixon that joins your party after Ether mine doesn't blink. Just observe him in the menu. His eyes don't blink at all.

Edit 2: Ok here are the updated files(Alvis ear color, updated optional jacket, additional/duplicated Dixon textures). Btw, forgot to mention, if you notice, the retextured Alvis' hair and eye colors are different from original. It's supposed to be silver, but I made them light purplish for hair and purple for eyes(Don't ask why, I just like them better that way Tongue). And Dixon's eye color too. Soo... maybe someone can either recolor it back to silver(just desaturate it) or put them as optional files.

LOL I'm glad you like it. It is a huge time saver compared to the way I was doing it, dunno why it took me so long to make something better. It was actually your idea to create a new folder and categorize them into other folders that really took it to a new level, + the filter idea to look for known byte sizes instead of manually searching for them. I'm really digging that too, beats typing in numbers all the time.

Way more than me now, I'm at 23,546. I gotta applaud your dumping effort, because without it I probably would have never came close to as many as you found. I was surprised way back when I came across your previous pack looking for textures for the most recent compilation. I opened it up and I'm just like wow. I think at least 75% or more of the textures in v4.5U was that pack lol.

Okay, got em. I'll let bighead decide what he wants to do with them since I think he's in charge (is anyone in charge?) of organizing whatever goes into the next update.

I personally like the updated eyes and hair, so I think we should use them. They look much better.

And Dixon's mustache, holy wow it looks so much better. I want to touch it.

Haha, yeah. I'm a bit OCD about it. I just spent the past 2 hours in Colony 9, Tephra, and just starting Bionis' Leg to get dumps. Different times of day, different weather patterns (doesn't happen til the leg), running into a new area, reloading into said new area. Accepting quests, completing quests. And different combinations of all of those. Each time I have to check all of the menu's, and the big time consumer is going into items, selecting the collectible to gift and then rotating through the portraits to get em all to dump. Also doing something similar with the shop keepers, since they have all of their own borders IDs and their own coin ID and can also cause a special set of menu IDs when you get done shopping.

I was actually pretty lazy in between Fiora leaving the party and getting Riki. I figured I'd wait to get Riki so I could unlock his portrait while dumping the rest. I'm sure you've noticed, but Melia and the final party member don't dump repeatable IDs. For some reason they only have a couple each that applies to everything. Don't know why the rest of characters aren't treated the same, been a big mystery. Anyway, I think there are probably some "early game" IDs that disappear once you backtrack, only I obviously don't have any way to separate them. So, I'm going to backtrack and super hardcore dump (lol?) everything I can now that I have Riki. Then continue to be thorough for the rest of this playthrough. Then when I start a New Game+, I'll be more thorough with the pre-Riki dumps and get whatever unique IDs that weren't dumped on my previous playthrough through the backtracking method. The problem is that I have no control over when people backtrack, so if people decide to go back to Bionis' Leg to do quests after they get Dunban, but before Riki, they might have a different set of IDs.

Anyway, I got pretty good at fishing out the IDs last time two times I played through the game.

And about the scripts, yeah I had some good ideas. But I never would have been able to actually do anything with said ideas. I live my scripting fantasies vicariously through you, I guess. :p

I guess I never really thought about it. I wouldn't say I'm in "charge" since it's just been a bunch of random contributions over time, and every once in awhile somebody throws them together in a pack (that just happened to be me last time). I threw everything together and poweredbykimchi thanked me for the effort and wanted to dub it v4.5, so I cleaned it up, threw it on Mediafire and Mega, and the rest was history. Then I kind of just didn't stop, I started making maps, textures, and grabbing anymore contributions that came in for a future pack.

In terms of organizing everything for the next iteration of the texture pack, I kinda just took it upon myself since there wasn't much happening for awhile and I was dumping textures for new IDs while making some new content. But recently since I started making maps and spamming these boards, there seems to be a lot more going on. As for deciding what actually goes into the pack, I throw in every contribution so no actual decision has to be made. The only rule I follow is that anything that is a remake of actual game content in HD goes into the main part of the pack, anything that is not goes into the optional folder... like if somebody made a "Blue Haired Shulk" or a "Hot Pink Sharla Bikini Mod".

What about a "Replace All Faces with Dunban's Because He's the Best" mod? Also, I added a bit on to the end of my last post.
