Here's eater and cyclone, it appears armour doesn't have a retextured icon. I'll give it a whirl, but japanese symbols are definitely not my strong suit.

Also loving the borders echoes. Big Grin

I'm not sure what you mean. The gold line is the same across the whole tree here because none of the bars in that screenshot are using retextured versions, just the circle border around shulk. The brown vertical bar is SX4P01_4037714e_8.png and the glow for it is SX4P01_892ca7bc_0.png. Both in skill trees folder.

I tried out your concrete textures Echoes. As much as I tried to like the one (it just feels too plain), the GOOGLE one fits the game much better to me (even though the first one made my maps shimmer in a new light). I messed around with it a little bit and tried to better match the color of the original. I'll let everyone here be the judge.

EDIT: If you read this before I'm finished frozen, I am currently fixing up the skill tree bars. I see quite a few inconsistencies between them, and it will take me a while. We will have to re-batch all 5 of them when I finish.

Do you have the ID for Monado Armor?Ah got it.
I gave it a try. Is this good enough?

Edit: Just noticed 1 texture of Dixon was missing(When he joined the party after Ether mine).

Edit 2: Btw, any expected release date for those nice looking menus Smile? Also, are you going to categorize the textures (like UI, Face, Terrain, etc) or is it going to be in 1 folder? Because personally, if possible, I just want to update the non-HD/duplicated menus/icons/UI stuffs.

Edit 3: Whoa, just tried out the concrete background Echoes mentioned. You're right I can never go back to the original anymore. It makes the whole screen feel much cleaner Big Grin.

Thanks narcku that looks great, much better than I could do. I did make it a little darker and added a touch of blur so it falls more in line with the other ones.

Also finally finished fixing up the skill trees. Even found that little bar. Most of the issues are pointed out in the "Before" pic.

You'll notice the little bar is at a much lower resolution. I had to make it this way or it won't show up correctly in game. It's still not a perfect match but there is no way to tell unless you save a screenshot and zoom way in on it.

Edit: Also thought I'd point out that the two ball shaped parts of the skill tree are the only two of these texture. The old pack had two versions at different resolutions, not sure why. The little bar is also a _9 textures, it's default dimensions are 7x8 but I could only find one of them in my dumps folder so it may never change.

Edit: I noticed the gems in the last texture pack were not HD, so I used the gray gem in the pack to create colored versions that look better.

Oh wow, lots of stuff happened in here while I slept.

I'm going to respond to everyone below in a minute. I know everyone is working on a few different things right now, but I'm starting to make a list of some inconsistancies / issues with some textures while going through the game. Should I just save them up until I finish the game or should I list them off as I go? I feel like everyone is working on a lot already, so I might just save them until the end so we have them in one spot and let everyone finish (If that ever happens :p) what they're already working on.

Going to take this Monado for a spin today. I'm actually about to get the Monado II in the next couple hours here probably, so I won't be able to use the Monado I retextures for much longer.

Also, while I have you here, I really do think that the "cartoon" Monado I is actually a huge improvement over the default texture, even if it is missing a little detail. I watched a few cutscenes with and without it, and I found I enjoyed the visuals much more with your retexture.

I also want to ask you about retexturing something in particular, but I'm not sure how far you are in the game and don't want to spoil anything.

Sorry, I worded it poorly. I meant it to say "Are the gold lines across the larger bars (the ones we're trying to get to match the replaced smaller bars) retextured at all?" Man that sounds bad too. Okay, the big vertical bars, are the gold lines in there retextured already or are we looking for a new file? They're so fine I have a hard time distinguishing. Also, if you're redoing those 5 smaller bar textures, is there anyway you could make the "gold" strips a little darker to match the other ones better. That way we don't have to try finding the big vertical bar textures.

Also, I'm going to agree with you about that, Bighead. I found Echoes' texture to be a little off-putting compared to the original (sorry Echoes! don't hate me please Sad ) I'll try your texture out in a bit here.

Okay, so I already had that face retexture. But, yours is hilariously superior. I also have a few more Dixon faces (thumbnails attached) if you want to try your hand at them. They are all pretty much the same, you could probably just use the IDs and reuse your own texture. I think only the eye areas are different. Sorry, I don't have the original textures, don't know if those would be better. You could probably search your dumps using these IDs though.

I'll have to try out all of these Monado symbol textures when I get to them. I do have a few Monado symbol textures dumped, but I think they are from cutscenes or gameplay because the symbols appear to have been retextured already for the abilities bar during combat / art screen.

EDIT: Is there only new one texture amongst all of those Monado symbol textures? I just want to double check.

In regards to the release, I think Bighead was talking to me about releasing a version with all of the textures in one folder and one with them separated into categories. Below is a pic of how Bighead had his setup when he sent me everything he had so far. The folders with ~frozenwings at the top are my additions. I haven't changed anything inside the folders he sent me except for files that have been posted here that I'm assuming he also added to his own. I've actually gone a step further in my own folders. The way mine is setup just makes it easier to batch retexture the files without having to sort through a bunch of folders every time. In the end, they'll probably all get moved to how Bighead's is setup.

Okay, I'll check it out. I have a ton of stuff to sort through and retexture this morning, including going back and fixing a couple things. Is that small texture the gold bar that appears on the big, vertical bars? If so, I love you. If not, you're still awesome. :p

Also, do you know why there are multiple red and turquoise and not the other ones? Are these duplicate IDs that I need to keep an eye out for? I'm not sure if I've run into any colored gem dumps. Weird.

Nevermind, I see what you mean now. I thought there were no retextures at all. You just made some existing retextures better. Got it. (They look great by the way Smile )

The gems that those replace are actually not retextures. Those were the same gem textures that the game dumps. I think someone messed it up in one of the previous iterations of the pack. As to why there are multiple of some color I'm not sure. Those are ones I found in my dumps folder. The extra red one seems to dump much more often than the light blue, while the other gems never had a 2nd dump.

And yes that small texture is the gold bar. You'll notice its a much lower resolution because it wouldn't match up in game any other way. It actually gave me a headache to get it to match as well as it does. It's not a perfect match, but you can't notice unless you grab a screenshot and zoom way in on it.

Oh yeah, that's way better. Nice work, man. It's exciting when you see stuff like this come together. Brilliant.

Edit: Just checked out the new bars and compared them to the old ones I made. Lol, I'm bad at this. The lighting was especially lol-worthy.

They were both in the skill trees folder. The ones I linked I did not edit so there is no change, other than I replaced the smaller one with the bigger one. I uploaded everything so it wouldn't be confusing, and you can just drop them into the folder and replace them.

Yes that was the only missing texture, the ones I linked before were because narcku was missing a few from his own pack. I was going to make the missing one but he beat me to it. Glad he did cause it turned out really nice.
