Ok I found my old save file after searching through like 20 dolphins lol. I found a place that loaded the bars and I see what you mean. I'll try to fix that, but another thing I noticed is the yellow line that goes down the center doesn't blend well. I'd like to try to fix that too. I don't see a texture for it anywhere. I see the brown part but its blank.

Edit: It may not have a retexture. The width is at least 8 pixels. I'm going to hunt for it but if you come across it let me know the ID. With our luck, it will be a _9 texture. D:

I don't think so, it looks like its either 8x? or 10x?. But it could be part of something else like you're suggesting. I blew it up to try to count the pixels and compare it to other stuff but even so its kinda difficult.

Lol, yeah. That isn't much to go on.

Could you make a quick version of one of the skill tree branches that's all transparent and just make a batch to temporarily replace all of the textures? That way you could see if maybe something is layered underneath of the branches, but on top of the skill tree bars. I dunno if that makes sense, or is even possible.

Just ran into a "new" set of icons here, and it looks to me like the "gold" line is the same color as the retextured version. Is this something that hasn't been textured at all yet? I can't find anything that looks like it in my dumps.

Alright, I'm done with the Story Quest Boarders. Looking at it in-game... I think I got carried away and made them way too flashy. I'll definitely tone them down later, but for now, criticism is welcome hahaha.

*Note that the white box here is the same as the one in the other boarder textures.

Uhhhhhh.... amazing. I can't wait to take em for a spin. I can't thank you enough for coming back in here and pretty much single handedly fixing all of the borders/frames in game. I know Bighead fixed some of the older ones, but I don't think we could have done these as well or as fast as you did. So, thanks. Smile

I don't think they're too flashy, but I'll have to check them out in game.

This ids are for the very first one you get, with Fiora at Dunban's house at the beginning. I'm not sure you guys should do your "massive, texture-replacing script/magic" thing just yet, unless you mind doing it all over again later.

Edit: Wow, I'm really glad I made usable PSDs of all the corners right now.

Lol. They've already been replaced, no takesie backsies :p. And it's not a big deal to replace them later. Seriously, Bighead has done some great work with those scripts. The hardest part is putting all the new textures into the appropriate folder without screwing up. So if you make a toned down version and it looks better, I have no problem replacing them.

Edit: Has anyone tried changing the "concrete" background that shows up in every menu? I just made a quick attempt. One is using an image from Google images, I literally searched for "concrete texture" and then I edited the saturation.
The other one I made using Photoshop's default texture images. About the "GOOGLED" one, I'm not sure how I feel about using someone else's work, even if it's not for profit, but this is just a test, so. Whichever texture, it really is a sight for sore eyes. I can never go back to that ugly original thing.
