It's a pop-up window, like when your party gets changed. And I haven't ran into it yet this game, I'm just now getting to Bionis' Leg. So I'm not sure which corner piece, it might not even be one of the redone ones it might be the "smaller" corner (see thumbnail) that doesn't have a retexture yet. Although I am dumping them this time in hopes of someone maybe doing them.

It's been around a year since I ran into it, so I hope I'm remembering correctly that it's a high tension texture. If I'm not, yeah, screw that. Easter eggs are fun.

Note: this isn't the exact corner in question, just an example of what the corner texture might look like.

Haha, glad I'm not crazy. Do you remember if it the texture was his normal portrait or his "yelling" high tension version?


Edit: If you're feeling ambitious, Bighead, there is this texture (the bubble with the lines, thumbnail) that I've been dumping from the Achievement screen too. I don't want to keep piling stuff on you, so if you want me to try and texture anything simple like this just let me know. I'm just going to keep dumping it anyway, and I'll probably get to it eventually if you don't.

Yeah, either pop-up party or quest window, I forgot.
I think it was yelling version. I don't think people did it for lulz though.
These sort of mistakes happen.

Haha, okay. I'll keep an eye out for it, and if it's a high tension version I'll snag it out. Problem is that I won't even know if I'm looking at the right set of corners when I do finally get the right one, since it's somewhat random which IDs you pull up when you load.

I actually have a few of those chat bubbles set aside because I was going to attempt to make a texture for them eventually. I don't have many of them yet, only around 10-15. I often forget to open the achievements window, and they don't seem to pop up as often as the silver trophy.

As for the Reyn-corner issue, there may not even be an HD texture for that corner if it ends up being one of the 32x32 or 40x40 versions. I don't think anyone ever attempted to replace those with HD versions because its another endless chain of possible IDs. I tried once a few weeks ago but it didn't turn out so well, and I got lazy and quit fishing them out. The IDs for the menu Echoes did for the load screen just happens to never change even though they have the ''_9'' suffix, probably because the sequence of events up to that point is always the same.

Frozenwings, I actually did those corner textures too, but since there were so many IDs, and since I wasn't done at the time, I never uploaded.

There they are. These textures are actually very annoying to deal with, because of the seams and because the "bars" actually need to be re-sized to about 80%the width to work with the corner pieces. Overall, I think they came out well. To see these textures in-game, quick travel to Colony 9's "Gem man" Landmark, and then open the quick travel menu again. Hopefully they appear.

And yes, I realize I'm missing the upper bar, hahaha. I'll get to that (and I'll likely have to edit the top corners as a result).

Yeah, I already have 35 of those chat bubbles and I'm just starting Bionis' Leg. So.... I'll probably end up with a lot. I've become pretty good at knowing when/what to do to get different IDs. The endless chain of possible IDs I don't think is endless, just that theres a lot. I'll get 'em all eventually, even if it takes my entire life :p (Stubborn)

There's actually a few consistency issues with some retextures I'd like to address at some point such as the main pop up bar (located in your UI-Miscellaneous folder) that was redone a long time ago, and the corner pieces Echoes redid:

I believe the circles in the main bar should match the circles on the corner pieces (as well as the general color theme), and theres a couple other places this shows up with as well, such as the very similar looking (almost identical) main bar of the main menu palette. It's nothing huge, just something I might work on at some point. The main bar for the pop up windows only uses one texture, not repeating. So it wouldn't take any extra dumping and would probably improve the visual cohesion of the project. I know you've already got a lot on your plate with the maps and who knows what else, so I'm just going to keep dumping and I'll probably retexture a couple things as I go and see what you think.

It's a shame, but I haven't been dumping the little connector pieces. Only the corners. Didn't realize I needed to look out for them, should have known better. Oh well, still early in the game. I can do a restart and try to catch back up with what I missed. Thanks, Echoes. You're the best. Smile

That's fine that you're missing the top bar. Take your time, just remember to upload it at some point so my OCD doesn't force me into doing it myself and messing up only to have Bighead come in and save me. Thanks to Bighead script, it's really easy to batch rename stuff now so it will only take a minute to change all of the textures whenever you get around to it.

Yeah, that retexture was done by someone else, so it makes sense. Especially since it was probably done before I redid the corners. I'll see if I'm able to do it.

I actually have to be thankful to this project. I had zero Photoshop knowledge when I started checking the old thread out! And I've enjoyed doing it, even if it does get tedious sometimes. XD

Again nothing fancy, just a simple retexture. I also packed 15 retextured bubbles.

..is the info bar used at the bottom of the menu palette (correct me if I'm wrong), only the game stretches it somehow. So, it probably doesn't necessarily need to match the menus. But it also wouldn't hurt either. Tongue

And one last thing, I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is:

I'm pretty sure its a buff because of the arrow in the corner. Whoever did the buff/debuffs may have forgot it. I'm looking at them now, its some pretty hardcore texturing. I'll try to make an HD version, but I doubt I'll be able to match the beauty of those.

Edit: I tried my hand at it, and it didn't turn out too bad. It is just an arrow in a block. I used the border/arrow up from whoever made the original buffs. If anyone wants to try to make something more meaningful then by all means.
Final Edit: Since I've been on a roll, one more icon. The lovey dovey heart. We put a small dent into my "to do" folder tonight.
Final-Final Edit: Last one I swear. Load art for gem crafting. Letters might not be perfect. I tried to get them to line up by placing them around a circle. This screen doesn't last long anyway. Maybe I'll try to make it better later, but I'm done with this stuff for now.
The "I Lied" Edit: I figured I'd also get that green bar that you requested out of the way frozenwings. Also, a blue and a gray one. Tongue Storing them in "UI-Bars". I'm sure you'll see this so check your PMs.

Awesome, thanks guys. This stuff is a lot more fun when there's people around who know how to retexture. I can get by with my minimal photoshop (GIMP in my case) skills, but it's definitely nice to see quality work.

Correct, that one is stretched out to become the main menu palette "info" bar. I call it the main bar, but whatever :p.

It doesn't HAVE to match, and probably isn't as important. But the base texture is pretty damn close to the base texture of the pop-up bar, and you might even be able to use the same texture with a little manipulation to get it the right size. Obviously, the interior of the bar is different too. I'm not a photoshop wizard though, so maybe it's more difficult than what I'm thinking. It's not a huge deal in general, just something to consider for consistency sake.

I'll take whatever you guys come up with and be happy. Half of the reason I got burned out was because I was the only person active in here for a while, and I suck at texturing so I thought all of my file dumping would be in vain. I was sort of late to the initial party and missed out on helping out when people were more into it.

Frozenwings, could you try this one? I'm a bit unhappy with the orbs at the sides, but I guess it's alright. I tried to make it as close to the original as I could, while also trying to make it match the corners a bit more than the end result would.
