The textures have nothing to do with saves. Installing or removing the hd textures shouldn't effect the actual game in any way, other than the texture quality.

That being said, the hd textures are slightly more demanding on your system than just the default game and the game is already pretty demanding, and especially on your cpu. I personally would make sure the game runs well before you install the hd textures. It won't effect your save file if you want to start using them after your initial testing.

I assume the project is for UI re-texturing only? In-game textures for environments aren't remastered? Like, for example, mecha or rocks:

The project is for everything, but the UI element is easier to do because the textures stay consistent.

Thanks a lot for your reply, much appreciated. I had one final question if that's ok? I own the NTSC (SXE401) version of Xenoblade and was trying to get the Xbox 360 icons to work with it last night just to test. I unzipped them all to user/load/textures and put them in there as they were. After checking the load textures option in Dolphin, I've not had any success. Just wondering where I'm going wrong here? There are no other textures in that folder apart from the 360 ones I've just put there but nothing is loading.

Do I need to convert a save file to PAL by any chance (I know it says in the OP that it only works on S4XP01 but I was confused due to the 360 controller NTSC folder)? If so, is there a guide on here that can help me out?

Sorry for the late reply. If I'm reading this right, you own the SXE401 version and you are only using the XBOX 360 controller buttons?

If that is right, I have a feeling you did not rename those textures. The textures will have something like SX4P01_XXXXXXXXXX.png; rename it to SX4E01_XXXXXXXXXXXX.png (where the Xs are those random numbers).

Hi there, no problem. They are named like that unfortunately but I started a game on Dolphin anyway in the end. I'll try again at some point but thank you very much anyway for your help. Smile

I believe that the xbox 360 button textures require that you have the classic controller enabled instead of the nunchuck in the wiimote options.

Thought it was always on classic, but I started playing round with the controller config and it started working. Smile Thanks!
