Oh, hrm. All right. Thanks for the heads up.

Can you write that in English or have someone translate it? Goole translate isn't making much sense. :x

He's basically asking you to please put your Dolphin settings in the first post in order to avoid people having to ask for help. And that it would also be nice to add the minimum hardware needed to play. That's about it.

I think it would also be a good idea to link to the Xenoblade thread, in case someone needs more help or are having problems that are unrelated to retexturing.

That's a good idea. I'll do that next time. While I know what's recommended for full compatibility and almost no FPS drops (4.0ghz i5-3570k), I'm not too sure about minimum hardware since its so subjective, so shoot me a PM if you do know or have any clue. My mobile processor has trouble in the latter half of the game (drops to about 27 FPS and about 24 FPS in battles), but I do believe that does fit well above what would be considered minimum.

Uhm, I still have zips and rars I uploaded just fine.

if uploading those seriously doesn't work anymore, try renaming it or using .7z?

edit: well I'll be dammed. This is retarded minus.

The ps3 controller button textures aren't working. (All the others are working fine)

I just tossed them in the SPXP01 folder. Was I supposed to do something different?

Yes. You are supposed to choose the Wiimote Classic Controller as your controller of choice. The wiimote doesn't have enough buttons to be substituted by the PS3 controller. I'm not too sure how to change it though, so look around forums.

Read the README. Tongue

I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles (NTSC-US) for about 3 hours or so and since converting every file with SX4P01 to SX4E01 I've managed to get about 3/4 of the modified textures to load. The few that bother me are the starting menu's font, the bottom menu icons being blurry in game and the Quest notification font.

Seems strange even with the US version that this happens with only a few of the textures. As I understand it not all textures were redone, but I would guess that the menu screen would be pristine considering the first page shows as such. I know I can't get the Wii Classic Controller to have better textures since none have been made, so that was the only one I expected to be blurry.

Is there anybody with experience on the US NTSC version that has gotten this to work properly or is this just something I can't fix.

Quest texture appears to be in my folder and properly renamed, so I'm not sure why it's not appearing as such in game:

I'm guessing that you just threw everything in the SX4E01 folder judging from your screenshots. You need to go farther into the texts, others, and alternatives folders and copy/paste the textures that corresponds to you. If you speak English, then you would need to copy/paste the English retextures as opposed to the Spanish ones. You can't have both language folders in the same SX4E01 folder due to conflicts.

The reason I did it this way is that the Spanish retextures sometimes uses the same file name as the English retextures. For example, "SX4E01_004d5cea_9" may seem to contain the words "Quest", but the Spanish retexture also uses the same file name, "SX4E01_004d5cea_9", for the word misión. This will cause conflicts, and you will ultimately just load the original texture.

The menu buttons won't always be retextured all the time because it is nearly impossible to find all the file names. I've explained it numerous times in this thread (I think about every page actually), but basically, you would need to dump the menu buttons in every single possible way you can think of to get the file names. It's a bug with the way Dolphin dumps textures, but the bug won't be fixed any time soon, so you'll have to deal with it.

TL;DR - go into the "Text," "Other," and "Alternative" retextures; copy/paste the things that apply to you (or whatever you want) into the root of the SX4E01 folder; delete the existing folders.

That's exactly what I did; I just didn't think to delete the folders. I redownloaded it and did everything just as you said to no result.

Anyways, it's not like it's just one or two textures, but more like half of the UI even at the start of the game. I'm sure it's just messed up from my game not being PAL or something, but there's little to try since I've redone this a few times now.

That's strange. Everything is right. I don't think other people with the NTSC version reported any problems. Maybe someone with the NTSC version can help.
