Those would be nice too. I did tell her there are "36 portraits" including Dickson, Muhmkar, and Alvis and she seemed fine with it, so it'd be nice if you can possibly dump those as well. After recounting though, I think there are 33? I thought Dickson might have two version (totaling 6) because his armor in the very beginning is different from his armor later, but that might not be the case since I believe Dickson is the same character throughout the game.

Alvis low tension portrait will be easy to dump as long as you don't use purge.
Mumkhar and Dickson low tension portrait can probably be dumped as long as you don't use enchant.
As for high... you're on your own Big Grin

I never even knew guest fighters had High and low tension portraits! You could probably get the high tension portraits by pressing b at the perfect time during the initial tension. You'd have to start the battle yourself though, so who knows if this would work in every guest battle. Another way would be a cheat code or something, I guess.

I dont' think those glows were there originally. They look out of place and too much like a generic default photoshop outer glow.

That's right, they are generic glow (except for the ones that were already glowy). I used Gimp to add the alpha background, but with some pictures, a little bit of "glow" remained. I could have removed it, but since I liked they way they looked, I kept it. I can get rid of it for the next update (whenever I get around to it).

I finally finished game today. 133h - I think it's my all time longest single play-trough session.
Anyways while having final push in game I also upgraded some of the textures which caught my eye.

1) Text backgrounds in Reconstruction HQ menu, in main achievements menu and in affinity menu detailed info screen

Note that "?" is also improved. (click to zoom) At least on my PC in all resolutions "?" mark was slightly cut. This bug was everywhere in the game where "?" mark was displayed. I tweaked it little bit.

2) I improved heart-to-heart main menu question marks to:

3) One of the monado skills you will get very deep in game has low res icon. This one is tricky one and not all will probably like it. It appears that particular Kanji character is custom hand painted and heavily stylized. You wont find equivalent font. I tried my best to find one more or less matching which isn't sticking out like sore thumb. Still I think it's better than low res one. Well until someone else makes better one,

4) Area map screen for PrisonIsland v2 was in low res. Again it's not exact replica, but still the angle is very close to original one.

I also I included affinity icons to same zip file so all my latest contributions are in one place. I think I'm going to take break now from Xenoblade. Torchlight ][ is waiting Angel

It would be better if it was just optional honestly. That way those who like it can use it. And those who don't , don't have to.
If it's possible of course Smile

That way everyone can have their pie and eat it too.

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this and I just wanted to say GREAT WORK! I'm loving these textures, they make the game look so beautiful. I only started playing it today and I noticed a little glitch with a portrait not loading. Not sure if it's a known issue or not since I haven't read the whole thread, but:

Fiora's custom portrait only seems to load when she's the party leader. I'm playing on the US (SX4E01) version if that has anything to do with it.

People ask about this quite often ;P
Anyway, just think of it this way - while a texture might look the same throughout the game, Dolphin will load a texture with a specific filename depending on where you are, how you organize your party, what time of day, etc. Probably a billion other things. This means that to get it working everywhere, you need multiple copies of the same image with different file names.

Getting all those filenames is nearly impossible unless you dump all possible combinations or the custom textures feature on Dolphin gets fixed (I believe this is a bug, correct me if I'm wrong. I still don't quite understand what Neobrain said Tongue).

Because the custom texture feature won't be fixed any time soon, the best way to fix it is to just dump everything in every way possible.

Basically, unless you dump it yourself and find the filename, you're going to have to live with it.
