Nah, not complaining - I just didn't think it would be so more than the pack before ^^

Man, am I glad you did the "Reading disc ..." textures, for some reason I absolutely couldn't stand the low-resness of that screen Big Grin

Unfortunately, some textures are still not showing up here. Most portrait images, the pop-up-menu bottons, the minimap frame, the transitional (world) textures. So, the same ones as before. Are they showing for you guys? Doesn't matter if I use DX9 or OpenGL.

Do you have the texture cache accuracy slider all the way to fastest?
Did you try unchecking/rechecking load custom textures while the game is running?

Outside of those 2 things, I don't know what the issue could be. I know you using the DX9 Final version but I did not test it out that much. I just loaded up the game with PNG files and noticed I was getting 10 FPS. Sad

Edit: Now that I think about it, everything you just mentioned were paletted textures. Maybe DX9 version is looking for a different set IDs.

Hehe, yeah, PNG is too demanding here. With DDS, it plays fine (but takes a minute to load up the game, no problem if you know it, though).

Oh, I just found the problem I think. Some textures were named SX4P01 and some SX4E01.
Now I don't know if that was before I used the XbC Region Texture Converter or only after. Because I thought it didn't work (because it said something about files not being found) and then I saw textures had the US name (but obviously only in some folders)... Trying to rename the rest...

Seems like for some reason the XbC Region Texture Converter didn't find some of the paletted textures folders or something...

Hm, I hope RegexRenamer can rename everything in subfolders, let's see....

Ah btw, some of that previous grass are still there in the main pack. Is that intended?

I personally took them out(or replace them). The bushes are cool for me, but these ones I can't stand Tongue
They just don't seem to fit with the surrounding grass.

Hmm. I tested it a trillion times, sent it to frozen and he tested it, and we didn't have problems. As long as you didn't rename any folders, then it shouldn't have missed any files. It's very specific which folders it looks for. Such as, if you manually renamed SX4P01 to SX4E01, then it would fail to find files. I could have circumvented this with a loop, but it was slow as shit and batch sucks with loops and eats GBs of RAM when processing this many files.

Edit: And yes I kept the flowers and bushes, I didn't think it would be an issue because they are nicer than the normal plants. All complaints I heard were about the green grass that covered colony 9 and bionis leg.
Edit 2: You actually make a good point. Tongue I should have learned the first 2 times and just made all environment textures optional. Too many differences in what people like or dislike.

I dunno... I didn't rename anything... and strangely it did rename most textures, only not those under "paletted". I'll try it again (because I cannot find a way to rename stuff in multiple folders with RegexRenamer, and doing it for every single folder kinda sucks ^^)

Now it seems like it worked for whatever reason... I used the XbC Region Texture Converter from your fix-zip. You changed something in that one?

EDIT2: Naaah, scratch that... didn't work. I'll just rename every folder then ^^

Only added a single line to rename the Shulk goggles. Tongue
But now that it's settled are they loading in game ¿?¿?
EDIT: Hmmm. I wish I knew what was causing only the textures in "Paletted" to not rename... The only thing I can think of wherever you have the pack has created too long of a path name or something. Did the ones in "Static" rename?

Veeery strange. Looks like it did rename a lot more of the paletted textures than before. But still far from all. Kinda like it got overwhelmed by so many textures that it kinda couldn't do any more xD
Anyway, I'll just rename the rest folder by folder and report back after that if they're loading...

So it did rename "some" but not all. Did the script reach the point where it said "Texture conversion has finished!"
Or, did the window for some reason close by then automatically (crash)?
It should pause at the end with "Press any key to continue"

It didn't crash nor say that tex conversion was finished. It said something about files or paths not being found.

EDIT: Nope, they should all be renamed now but it's still those textures that are not being loaded. But it's the same as in the pack before. I actually never had those loaded correctly. So are they working for you guys? Using OpenGL?
