Alright, so i've had this crashing problem for a while and i have been hesitant to ask on the forums because i don't think anyone can help me, but if i don't ask i'll never know.

To put it blunty, the game crashes (stops working) whenever i'm loading up the game IN ALCAMOTH WITH LOAD CUSTOM TEXTURES ON. I believe the problem is related to the custom textures, because if i uncheck load custom textures, the game loads fine, also for some reason this only happens in Alcamoth. Though i haven't purposely tested this, during normal gameplay i have loaded my savegame in other cities, and the game loads just fine. Problem happens if i save my game within Alcamoth, shutdown the emulator, and try to load my save. I can save the game just outside Alcamoth and the game will load just fine. I am stumped, because to my knowledge there is no texture that loads only within Alcamoth, yet it only happens in that city. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I'm using rev 3.0 750 XBHLE, though i dont' think this matters.

Can you check to see if you have the Alcamoth map preview retexture? I know that's one way to cause crashes specific to an area. I remember saving and loading up in Alcamoth many times before without any crashes though.

Can you enter Alcamoth without crashing after you load up in a different area?

Yeah, see, that's the thing, i knew there were some problems with 1 of the map preview retextures, so i haven't included any of them.

And yes, as i said, because of this problem i have to save my game just outside Alcamoth to load the game correctly, but i have no problems entering the city after i load up the game in a different area.

It should be fixed in the latest if you're just up to Alcamoth. I'll be uploading a new pack tomorrow.

I assume your talking about the preview map problem? That won't really help me though since i'm not using them anyway XD. Well if you don't know the problem it can't be helped, but thanks for trying, i'll be looking forward to the new pack then=). Might also include the map previews if they don't cause any problems with the new pack.

You might as well just try. You never know. In fact, I think Ether Mine (the one that caused the crashes for many people) did something similar even if the Map screen was never opened.

DarkSharingan, you could try with just one or two custom texture files. If it still crashes then we at least know it's not about some bogus texture. If it doesn't you could start adding textures directory by directory and narrow it down which file causes the trouble.

That may be, but as i said, that particular problem doesn't apply to me, because i'm not using the map retextures. I will try them in the next release though, the more HD textures the better=)

Well i was kinda hoping to avoid this, but i guess i have no choise...Atleast something like that is less of a bother for me since i have created subfolders named "used" within the different texture categories (directories) and have placed all used textures in those folders, so i can easily add the textures folder by folder. I'll try doing that later and will report back about my results. Thanks for the tip.

v4.1U is up

Everything should be in the root folder now, so a simple copy/paste should do. I also left in any alternative retextures in there, so if you want them, just simply overwrite the ones in the root folder.

I threw in all the character avatars into the root folder with everything else. So if you don't like how I did that, PM me and I'll send you instructions on how to undo it.

Remember to report anything that goes wrong.

Looks good. It was sensible to put original brown theme as default like in original game.
Only thing I noted is that you somehow managed to put save/load screen SX4P01_114d635b_14.png texture into "\02 - Other\02 - Wii Controller Buttons" folder. It's not game braking, but you have same file now twice in package.

Just checking - I hope you noticed my affinity icons/avatars texture upgrade post. I suppose you didn't have time on such short notice to put into package or is there some other reason why it was left out?

Anyways while I was testing today new 4.1 package I also noticed that
-spoiler->[color=white]Fiora v2/mechon avatar icon in Party affinity menu is low res.[/color] <-spoiler- (select text between -> <- to view)
So I added it to the rest of the avatars in the file below.

Edit: I also noted "bug" in my menu shadow contribution texture. Left bottom corner was misaligned by 1 pixel downward. It resulted visible step where corner texture met bottom border. Here is fixed one: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?d1tb19zpvveivf8
