Yeah, there is still so much to do. Even though the chatter in here has slowed somewhat. And if we keep finding new stuff (like these IDs), just more stuff to do. I think we just need to get finish the maps, I'm going to finish my game and speed through to Makna in a new game to try and snag any gem trick IDs I can. Then we release what we have up at that point.

Since there are a lot of fixes (such as resolution) and a couple other things that we found, on top of all the additional IDs, I think a release should happen soon. Once the big hunker is out there, we can release smaller, updates as we go along. Such as those vision quest icons, armor icons, etc...

But I think the biggest concerns right now are the fixes and the missing IDs, as well as the updated UI and borders and other misc. textures we've done. The "extra" stuff can come later.

I should hopefully be staring inner bionis soon, at least I think that's where I go next anyway. It's only been a couple of years and I forgot how crazy the story to this game gets, heck I forgot about 80% of what I just witnessed. I've been watching cutscenes for like 2 hours now lol, some I even watched twice. I just landed back on Fallen Arm with control of Melia, can't remember how much more game there is between now and a new map.

Edit: Err.. not fallen arm, looks like colony 6 haha. Just assumed thats where i was.

You're about where I am. I'm backtracking getting dumps, killing some random guys.

I dumped a couple things I'm going to work on (trade screen UI, that vision attack circle icon)

EDIT: Also, there aren't many new dumps. So far I've went to Valak, Eyrth Sea, the Nopon Village, Fallen Arm, Colony 9, Bionis' Leg, and Alcamoth. Probably only a handful of new IDs. Seems like most of them keep the sames ones from before. I did get a couple new sets though. I haven't went to any of the new dungeons yet. Trying to get everything else first.

File is called hairandeyes, but it's actually hair, eyes, and faces so no one has to pick them out of the current pack or find them themselves.

Zanza-Klaus(no Meyneth, since her total screen time is like less than a minute 30 seconds) next, but I got lazy.
As for textures, I actually have access to pretty much all hair, eyes, face, mask textures in the game (including enemies).
Only problems are... finding the correct IDs, testing them(if I had a super powerful pc, it wouldn't be a problem) and sometimes eyes hunting.
I never went to dump anything unless I wanted to mod something specific, so my only source up 'til now is messiahgov's dump.
His dump should cover all the main cutscenes though.

But sure I'll keep those files once I feel like working on them again.

No problem, Narcku. Whenever you get around to it. Yeah I don't blame you for not wanting to do you-know-who. I think 30 seconds of screen time is actually being a bit nice, I think it's more like 10 :p. But I was there dumping, so I snagged all of the relevant IDs I thought someone might want. I also have their weapon IDs, makes me wonder if I can switch them in for other people's weapons.

Also, I never mind dumping. But sometimes dumping specific stuff is tricky unless you have a save nearby. Which is why I've kind of been dumping character faces, hair, and eyes while I go through the story. This stuff was pretty tricky because:

zanza pretty much uses the same textures as shulk, just different IDs.

So, I was actually picking the textures out while they were loading to make sure I didn't grab the wrong ones.

Yeah, well thing is.. it doesn't matter if I mod the textures(I have them, just have to load the model and grab 'em) but without the correct IDs and save files, I can't test them, so it'd be useless.

And yeah, only slightly different from Shulk's.
But you can tell it's him 'cos his face texture has more angst.
I've actually already modded his eyes in my own game(accidentally did it when I first went eyes hunting for Dixon's).

So it gives you a good test of his cutscene textures, then goes right into the fight after the cutscene for his field textures too.

It's using the eighth save state spot. (in case you don't know :p)

Save states only work in the revision they were created in. It's probably better to share the title folder.

Also, hopefully it won't be that bad. If you compress it with 7z and use a huge dictionary size (like 512MB) it should compress to around 500MB, more or less if even that. 15k textures using 7z and that dictionary size smashed down 1.2GB to 85MB for 4.5U. The portraits are much bigger now, so add an unknown factor, but if were talking about 60K textures and just assuming a linear growth, it would only be about 340ish MB. (And to add, it was created as a solid archive. This has the disadvantage of not being able to pull out a single file without going through all files, but you can't beat the compression gain over a non-solid archive).

Edit: It would be nice to have about 16GB+ of RAM for an enormous dictionary size. Tongue Although it would take longer to decompress, it would be worth it.

I actually made up a chart of estimated RAM consumption vs. dictionary sizes for my 7z CCD project (md is the command for dictionary size). So to even use 512 with 8GB, you gotta have like, nothing else running at all to get the most out of it.

I had a save just before ol Gaddy to check him out and he looks awesome. And I'm so happy you finished Egil just as I was reaching that point in the game to see him in a new glorious evil.

Sorry, I had no idea it was that big. Maybe you can just upload the save with title folder like before?

Also, maybe I'm just imagining things, but Sharla's hair alignment seems to be almost fixed here(except for the front part).
