Phew. Yes. Apparently starting the game with Japanese audio causes the game to load a different set of IDs.
Since the title screen always loads the same, however, it doesn't matter until you're in game.
Edit: Some IDs may be shared, I don't know. All I know is that I loaded in with japanese audio and it was a barren wasteland void of retextures.
Edit: I'm not sure if we need that 3rd Big clock texture then, bighead. It's probably a japanese audio texture.

It's probably not worth the effort to be honest, especially if the DDS pack is already usable for those with slow computers. I'm a little indifferent now too. At first glance there's almost no change, the gem crafting icon is the only immediately noticeable one, the reason it lost quality is because it lost it during the quick and dirty conversion (down scaling with GIMP and cubic interpolation). So it "could" look identical with some editting, but to me it almost doesn't seem worth the effort.
