That's good to know that PNG doesn't get the same performance. If nothing changes by the time it's finished, it will be worth releasing a version in DDS. To convert them isn't much work at all, I use Aorta which you basically just push a button and it watch it go. I just didn't want the majority of users downloading the DDS version that can run the PNG files fine, and then one day DL the latest Dolphin revision and the textures no longer load for them. But I also want everyone to experience this pack, so if PNG does not get some love then I'll create both. I'll have to have warnings or something stating that "Yo, someday this pack might not work" or something.

Honestly I'm insulted. If my textures aren't good enough to just take them the way they are, then I give up.

LOL joking of course Tongue, looks great! I was pretty lazy making those bars. You can probably just change the hue of that one so you don't have to end up fixing them all manually.

Yeah, that would be great. Like, just put a warning that the DDS version is inferior quality-wise and might not be usable anymore someday.
I guess the DDS version will be for those, who use e.g. Tino's DX9-final-build anyway, because it let's them play their games on their old machines which would not be enjoyable (speed-wise) on master-branch-builds. So don't worry about the quality not being perfect or something. People are greatful with what they can get (and if they're not, f**k 'em Wink ).

Haha, wow. I got scared for a second :p

I was like "Nooooo, my maaaaaaaapssssss." lol.

It's pretty sad that you being lazy is pretty much as good (I like your gradient a little better) as me trying my ass off for like two hours. Haha. But I'm glad you approve. The corners were making making me twitchy. And apparently boxes are the only thing I'm good for.

Yep looks perfect. Getting the blue color should be pretty easy if photoshop has a hue-saturation section (which I'm sure it does), you just move sliders around to change the color. But the brown one might be a bit more difficult. I did create both the blue and the brown from the green so its possible, can be tedious to get it right though.

(As you seen from that day you caught me doing a texture swap Tongue. Thought I had it until I seen them side by side.)

Here's what I got. I'm not going to do anything with the longer bars until I finish dumping. I also spent way longer than I should have trying to get that gem socket right. It's completely insane how your perspective can totally change out it looks. It's driving me nuts trying to get it right.

Edit: Oops, forgot the base files so you can change what you have.

Yeah those look awesome, much better than my original corners. The blue looks a bit brighter (which I'm digging), and it looks like you got the brown perfect. And that gem socket.. I wish you the best of luck. Tongue I haven't tried again since that day, but it's definitely a challenge to get it to look like its going "inward" at all times. Like this pic I linked before, the brain can see it both ways depending on how you are perceiving it.

What are you using to get those readouts? And are they specific to the application or overall usage of everything?

Wow, you guys seem to be putting a lot of work in recently! I finally built my gaming PC a few weeks ago and Xenoblade is just amazing with this pack, thank you to everyone who has contributed! I particularly like that you're trying to stay true to the original art style.

Regarding the PNG/DDS discussion- I've been using the DDS version and I had no idea it was of a lower quality so it would be definitely be useful to note that PNG is the highest quality in the OP. I think I did attempt to find out which was the best version to go for but I didn't see anything to indicate one way or the other.

Looking forward to the next update!

I use MSI Afterburner to do all of my GPU stuff, but it also monitors all the readouts (as you can see) and comes bundled with Rivatuner Stats Server, which reports the information through the overlay.

The below is most likely irrelevant because I'm an idiot.

That RAM usage is my entire system, but all I'm running is Dolphin and I saw that in a screenshot I took a while ago and it kind of shocked me. I have yet to see it go that high. But yeah, technically, Dolphin was probably using closer to 1500-2000MB of that. But that still puts it dangerously close to being impossible for someone under 4GB of RAM to use. I'm going to start monitoring dolphin ram usage and if I see my system RAM go that high again I'll alt tab and see how much memory Dolphin is using. I didn't notice that until after the fact when I was going through some screenshots that I took earlier today.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I'm probably dumb. I probably had photoshop open when I took that. Derrrrp. My bad. I should probably just delete it and forget about it.
