Alright, got everything. Thanks a lot for the help, I'm just a little paranoid about things lining up.

For batching purposes, I might add a couple folders but they will more than likely be very self explanatory just by looking at them. More than likely they'll just be additional breakdowns of some of what you already have. Like Menu_Achievements_Trophy, Menu_Achievements_ChatBubble, etc.

And just to be sure, the files in the character_other folder are going to be optional in the next release? I believe Narcku's clothing change change? Or are they close enough to the original? I honestly haven't had time to check out his clothes yet. Just the weapons, faces, hair textures. (Sorry, Narcku! I'll get to them all eventually!)

Edit: Oh nice! I should probably use it then. I should also probably feel bad that I haven't been using it. Damn me!

That is Alvis's jacket and I see no reason it should be an optional texture since it's basically an HD version of his normal one. Shulks outfit on the other hand, is a remake so I have that in the optional section (which isn't visible from my screenshot).

EDIT: ^ Adding to that, the other is a texture for Reyn's goggles. I'm pretty sure it's similar to his normal ones only better. In either case, an HD version is better than the original since it doesn't change what it is.

Also, reading the comment on the Dolphin revision (4.0-1487) fixed by neobrain:
Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
+ // TODO(neobrain): This function currently has no way to enforce RGBA32
+ // output, which however is required on some configurations to function
+ // properly. As a lazy workaround, we hence disable the optimized code
+ // path for now.

Guess that means I'll have to make extra sure no textures are missed. I'm assuming this means that in order to load properly, some textures that may not have an alpha channel are going to need it regardless if there's opacity or not.
(^ Would appreciate verification from someone who has a bit more knowledge on the subject. Smile )

EDIT: Looking into it further, only one texture is missing an Alpha channel, and that's the new "System Save" which we haven't come to a decision on whether or not were keeping it. Since it's not nearly as big in-game as the size of the texture, it could be scaled down quite a bit to further reduce file size. I don't think we should get rid of it, I really like it, and it's not too important that it doesn't pop up in the rare case that we missed a dump for it.

I'm definitely gonna be testing how D3D11 fairs for awhile compared to OGL.

Yeah, whatever floats your boat. I have no issue with it personally, especially if you want to scale it down. It's just kind large and if we end up with 500 of them it could get rough.

I have retextured anything since yesterday around this same time, but I've had one of those save files on my screen at all times since we talked about it and I think I've been dumping it a lot. I'll know for sure later tonight when I finish dumping Valak.

The reason I put some of my stuffs as optional(like the goggles, and Alvis' Jacket) was because of the color.
And I did change that fur thingy on the jacket(it's also missing the trinity logo etc), that's why I don't recommend other people to use it unless they've cleared the game once at least.
And some people can be very hardcore about specific details of character design etc so..

Anyways, just tested the new revision. The D3D "looks" great for me as always, with AA & AF on without noticeable fps drop(can't use AA in 3.0-3.5, too laggy)... but the audio is still buggy for me Undecided
I guess I can never get the audio right unless I play it on high-end pc or something. Oh well, back to patched 3.5 I go Sad

Yeah. I have to use DSP LLE, with DSPLLE on a separate thread, with framelimit locked to audio in order to get the sound to not crackle and pop, which drives me freaking insane. I guess it's pretty CPU heavy to turn LLE on.

I have not had time to mess around with the new revision. Does it actually look better than OpenGL? Is it any less stable? I've been VERY impressed with how well these 4.0+ revisions have handled the game. I remember trying a ton of 3.5 revisions back when I was first emulating this and I could never get it bug/crash free. Cutscenes were choppy or would even freeze the game and I'd get random crashes while playing. The newer versions are much better.

The "HLE" patched 3.5 never worked right for me either, seemed a little buggy. However, it was better than the unpatched version.

I added an alpha channel, rescaled it, and filesize has been cut down by over half and looks the same in game. 100 of these is only 15MB, so 500 shouldn't be anymore than 75MB (I have FLAC songs bigger than that). Considering were already working with a pack that's over 2GB, seems pretty miniscule in comparison. And there's no telling if it will actually reach that number (not saying it won't). If it does, then it seems logical to ditch it. I hate seeing that ugly system save screen, as much as anything else that's not retextured.

Edit: I would upload the wrong one... it's time to get back to maps I'm apparently off my game today.

Sounds good. I doubt we'll get over 500. But I also doubted I would get over 200 menu palette textures for each icon :p, and well, we saw how that turned out! But still, should be fine. I hate the ugly original texture as well.

Yeah, drives me nuts too 'coz everything else looks pretty nice.
In the end, I just had to give up.. You win Dolphin, I lose, my spec just isn't good enough Dodgy

I personally think it's better than OpenGL, but I dunno maybe it's just me.
Another reason I use D3D is for SweetFX Tongue.
I don't know which HLE patch, but the one I'm using is the renowned Xenoblade Audio patch.
It's still buggy, but better than 4.0 for me at least.
What I seem to notice is, with the patch, even if my fps isn't always 100%, the BGM & other audio still plays fine(normal speed),
instead of being slowed down to match the FPS. So it's definitely a plus for someone like me who's playing on laptop.

Strange I don't have too many audio issues, either with HLE or LLE. I use HLE just to give my CPU a break since I see no difference between them. The only thing I do notice is the sound can skip out every once in a great while in either HLE or LLE, usually randomly when an action happens or something. But to my understanding, that's because this game relies on hard drive speed and my main drive is a pile. I really should move my Dolphin folder to one of my other drives.

Edit: Also, v4.0 releases have terrible audio for this game for some reason. I don't know what and when they changed, but the development versions run 10000x better for me both FPS/Audio wise.
(Ok so maybe I exaggerated that number, but it does run a lot better on the latest builds than the stable ones.) Tongue

Yeah, maybe I'm doing something wrong, idk.
I'm done trying to figure it out, I gave up a long time ago.. it's simply impossible for my laptop I guess.

Edit:
LOL yeah, I meant for this game.
