Anyone else get stutter when they first shoot and kill someone? After that smooth as butter

Yeah, I am working on the _mip files with the new explosion effects I have put. The initial size are 1024x1024, but I think I will need to reduce them to a crisp 256x256 size so that the major stutter doesn't occur. Will update in the next hour. Smile

Lol sounds good! I have been putting in a lot of time stress testing your great texture pack. Smile quick question what res is the medical frigate at now?

Okay, I've updated the texture pack. Should run a lot smoother, while the explosion effects should still be great. All the textures I am working on are from 4096x4096 scale, but then I have to dump them down to about 1024x1024 (which is the biggest resolution texture I see in the original files). Since I see slight stuttering now and then, I may have to optimize certain textures further, and move them down to 512x512, or even 256x256, depending on how important they are.

But yeah, thanks for stress testing! Big Grin

I've updated the textures, here's the download.

What's new,
- Optimized the explosions so that the game runs smooth again. Let me know what you guys think.
- Since I have finished the laser bursts and laser beam effects, definitely check out the Falcon gunner level! You're in for a treat! Wink

I've updated the textures, here's the download. Check it in the next hour or so after this writing. Should be ~203MB.

What's new,
- Well, Battle of Yavin is nearly done! All that is needed is a high-res surface of the Death Star, and then it's complete. For now, Yavin Prime looks brand new and has a lovely classic (brand new) red texture, as seen in Episode 4. Enjoy! Big Grin

Nice!

Edit: Spent more time with it and performance is excellent now! I still get some micro stutters with the medical frigate but nothing to major.

Yavin looks so Boss!!
