only thing I noticed is that there is a white outline around the super star destroyer. Anyone else have that happen?

perhaps you could ask if you could use an image from the xwaup?

Everything I've done is based on years worth of collecting, modelling, drawing, etc., since I am a Star Wars nerd after all (I have over 1TB in computer graphics related stuff). Tongue  About the SSD, I think it looks okay for now. It was a 3ds Max model that I did a few years back, and all I did was align it to face the gamer, so I think I will change and tweak that some more. Maybe it could be too high a resolution for such a texture, I am not sure. Are there any aliasing issues that you are having, or is it just the look of it?
just the general look, stand outs a bit compared to the regular destroyers, in rotj it has much less lights, blends better with the other ships.

to me it doesn't look as realistic as it should. forget about what i said, i knew there was something off, it's all those lights. i like the movie & original game version better.

I've updated the textures, here's the download.

What's new
- Bespin City has been touched up. There's nothing really fancy one can do with this one. It is mostly covered by clouds, and the texture Factor 5 used was quite low in quality (for the obvious reason that it isn't seen much). So, it is a lot cleaner now, and as far as Bespin goes, I can't really think of anything else to touch up. It is possible I could make the clouds better? But for now, I will focus on changing what's needed, and then move onto the finer details.

- With respect to the SSD on Endor, I've dug up a nice one for you guys, will share soon! Wink

I've updated the textures, here's the download.

What's new
- So with a few reviews on the SSD texture (and myself finally being convinced by the movie scene by slarlac249 Tongue ), I decided to try a different method. I used the same 3ds Max model, except I changed the perspective. As I'm sure most of you know, in 3d art, you have what's called an 'orthographic' projection (extreme examples are 'axonometric' projection), instead of the normal 'perspective' point of view. In this way, we can see pretty much the back-end of the SSD including the front, but at least it looks more like the movie scene, rather than a direct frontal render of the SSD. I hope this is satisfactory for everyone. If not, please feel free to offer any advice. Otherwise, the only solution is to fall back to the original Factor 5 texture, which did look okay with respect to everything else.

P.S. Notice I tried to act the movie scene in-game. Wink

Awesome work. This is really starting to shape up.

Here is another texture, which if possible, would be awesome to touch up; The title.

Maybe, with your texture pack, you could add "Rogue Squadron II HD" or something fancy Big Grin

Yes! I dumped the textures yesterday and saw the logo, some cover scanned box art cut out at high res and put in should work, I'd do it myself, but I haven't a guide on how to do it.

That should take care of it, just change the star wars to red to match the game.

There's a couple work arounds for this, at least it works for Xenoblade. What I do is:

1) Start the game with only 'load custom textures' checked, leave 'dump textures' unchecked
2) let the game load up a bit, such as to the title screen
3) While the game is still running, go into the graphics settings and check dump textures
4) Now you should have custom textures enabled while you dump, this should also prevent you from dumping textures that are already retextured.

Like I said, this is how I worked it for dumping Xenoblade textures. I'm hopeful that it should be the same for every game.
