Having problems setting up controllers

I've recently installed dolphin to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but whenever I try to set up my controller I get this:

I'm not touching the stick at all but I have no idea why it does this.

For my other controller, however, it doesn't do that (then again my other controller is an xbox 360 controller)

With both controllers, it doesn't always read c-stick inputs and it's quite annoying.

Official Nintendo Gamecube controller with a mayflash adapter

It's a problem with the mayflash adapter. you'll have to go into Windows configuration for game controllers and try to straighten it out through recalibration.

From the picture I can tell you that setting "Down" to "Axis Z+" instead of "Axis Z-+" would probably help. Right-click on the button to manually excise that -.
