Hardware Info:
Real classic original Wiimotes.
CPU: AMD FX-8320 8 Core Processor
RAM: 8 GB
Bluetooth: KY-BT100 Bluetooth Adapter
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT

Software Info:
Nvidia: 340.65 Driver (latest for this card)
Bluez version: bluez-5.23-1.fc21.x86_64
Fedora version: 21
Dolphin Version: dolphin-emu-4.0-6.fc21.x86_64 (latest version in RPMFusion repository - Compiled Dec 14 2014)

What I'm doing:
So I had this working at one point. Then I tried to get all fancy and connect two Wiimotes and itother stopped working. Same results whether I'm in Gnome or KDE (Gnome is currently working a little better with Dolphin menus, so I tried this there, but I usually use KDE). I deleted the both Wiimotes from the Bluetooth manager to get back to a stable state. I then connect the Wiimote with the Bluetooth manager. I know this is working because a) it says it's connected. and b) pushing the 1 and 2 buttons (one at a time) does stuff like bring up the right-mouse menu in Firefox.

When I run any Wii game it says in yellow on the screen that the Wiimote is disconnected. My current Wiimote settings are

Wiimote 1: Real Wiimote
Wiimotes 2-4: None
Balance Board: None

Real Wiimotes
Enable Speaker Data checked
Continuous Scanning Checked.

General Settings are Set to
Sensor Bar Position: Bottom
IR Sensistivity: Max
Speaker Volume: Max
Wiimote Motor Checked

If I hit refresh it says Wiimote scanning has stopped.
followed by
Wiimote scanning has started.

Ideas? Also, ideas for having more than one Wiimote work as well would be great, but let's get it working with just one first.

Thanks!

OK, I'm seeing SLIGHT progress if I DON'T connect my Wiimote via Bluetooth and the OS's bluetooth dialog. Instead I just make sure it's been paired. Then I set I Dolphin on continutous scanning and just see the following over and over again in the log when I hold 1&2 together:

33:06:286 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B).
33:08:851 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B).
33:11:399 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B).
33:13:960 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B).
33:16:522 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B).
33:19:083 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B).
33:21:643 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B).

But the Wiimote never becomes available to the game. This happens both in Gnome and KDE.

OK, so I have had INCONSISTENT success with the following steps. (I'd love confirmation of whether there's something I could do to be more consistent)

1. Make sure bluetooth is on.
2. Open bluetooth config (on both Gnome and KDE this is on the taskbar. Instruction from here on out apply to KDE's config)
3. Make sure your Wiimotes are listed there. If not, click add device and hold 1&2. This allows the system to know about it, but then hit cancel since there is no ability to enter a PIN on the Wiimote.
4. Make sure "Enable KDE Intergration" checkbox is off. (Not sure if this is necessary, but it seemed to make it work yesterday..."
5. Click on your Wiimote and click "details"
6. Make sure "trusted" is checked.
7. If your Wiimote is connected in the KDE dialog, disconnect it.
8. Start up Dolphin and put it in continuous checking mode for the Wiimotes. Sometimes I had to hit the refresh button to goose it into restarting the search for Wiimotes.
9. Hold 1&2 - if you see 33:06:286 /builddir/build/BUILD/dolphin-emu-2879cbd2b564/Source/Core/Core/Src/HW/WiimoteReal/IONix.cpp:128 N[Wiimote]: Found wiimote (00:19:1D:A1:20:7B). (but with a different MAC address at the end) then you're making progress.
10. At this point I don't know what I did other than constantly try to connect. Eventually it did. After that I was able to play for about half an hour without any issues.
11. At this point it will also show connected in the KDE bluetooth dialog.

I'm not 100% sure, but I THINK the inconsistency might come from interference with bluetooth signal. I'm not positive, but I think I can get it to connect better when I hold the remote closer to the bluetooth dongle, but not sure.
