Has this ever happened to anyone else

I was playing TTYD, and dolphin crashed while i was spawning the first pipe that comes from gathering the punis around the orb. no problem, but i noticed that the .exe itself was straight up gone. ctrl-Z didn't do anything and the recycle bin was empty. it's no issue since i still had the rar file, but I can't imagine how that would happen. version is 4.0-7026

That's happened to me before, no specific version either. I was using a SSD and suddenly the exe was gone, folder with everything else is still there.

It's your anti-virus software. It can sometimes delete a file without notifying you. Happened to me when I used AVG Free or Avast Free.
