beano311: I put it underneath my monitor and setup both Dolphin and my Wii for working with bottom placed sensor bar, that way they're no risk of it falling. Dolphin and Wii's both have an upside down setting for the sensor bars for this exact reason.

gunstorm - mastermanson Wrote:any chance to see the same review on ubuntu 14.04? In the article, it mentions that the DolphinBar's wiimote functionality does not work on Linux. On linux, it is only a good sensor bar. So um, take everything out but the sensor bar portion, and that's your ubuntu review. I can't seem to make it work. Because i have a TR wiimote i tried first to do the firmware upgrade but the "Update Firmware" option stays grey. I pressed the sync button like the message says but i don't understand what it means by "then press the power on or reset it, let it enter update mode first".
I tried to also connect my wiimote by pressing first the sync button on the dolphin bar and then the sync button on my wiimote (and vice versa) and it doesn't work either. The LEDs on wiimote keep flashing. If i go to Devices and Printers it recognizes it as "Mayflash Wiimote PC Adapter" and i am using Win 8.1 x64 Any ideas? Edit - Ok i finally figure it out, you have to hold down the sync button on the dolphin bar as you plugged it to the USB port. Everything works perfectly, expect the IR, i move my wiimote but it just doesn't respond. Any help would be nice while i try out things to see if i can make it work. Edit 2 - On the mayflash dolphin bar are there more LEDs that should open besides the two blue ones? And i mean the one below the Sync button on the left and the one below the Mode button on the right because these are the only two LEDs that light up. Is my dolphin bar defective or am i doing something wrong? Haruspex Wrote:Everything works perfectly, expect the IR, i move my wiimote but it just doesn't respond. Stand back - You are probably just too close. Find a position that gets a reading, and adjust the angle and position of the sensor bar until you can get a good read in the spot you want. And of course, make sure nothing is blocking line of sight and that it isn't too close to a window. Well, it seems I'm just a moron... of course it would help if Mayflash actually provided a little more instructions than what included. If you are in Mode 4 (emulator/Dolphin mode), the device turns off after a few seconds unless Dolphin is running, my device is not broken. No where does it say anything about this, I just assumed it put the remotes to sleep, not the bar too. They should leave one light on or something so it doesn't seem like it just dies.

Hi guys, I got a dolphinbar this morning, the sensor is fine but I cant get the controllers to respond. They appear to pair and vibrate when clicking refresh + it says wiimote connected at the bottom of dolphin but when launching a game I get an error communications with the wiimote controller have been interrupted. Doesnt respond to any key presses. Its in mode 4, firmware has been updated and im using dolphin 4.0-2241. Alt F5 doesnt do anything. Its like dophin is not getting the signal from the dolphin bar properly? I have a seperate bluetooth adapter that works with a non motion plus controller but its not compatible with the toshiba stack (im trying to connect a motion plus controller). Would rather use the dolphinbar as thats what its supposed to do. Any ideas?

The other one is a DBPOWER Motion 2 in 1 that pairs to the bar but doesnt work. Do you think its the controller thats not compatable? |
