Coming back to topic, I can save my favorite movies and my dumped ISOs in the 500 GB 2.5" HDD my laptop has. Well, before I put them in the lap´s drive, the ISOs were saved in a USB HDD unit (700 GB). Since I don´t need that USB drive for my machine, I simply left it for a borrowed (and later gifted), 6-year-old desktop. The tower (PC case) is pretty old. Mine's a 23", and it seems really good until I have a hell of a lot of stuff going on (which means I need more pixels, not just more screen area) or sit really far away. I don't find it uncomfortable with my face 12" from the screen, but am usually about 2'6" from it when I'm using it normally.

Depending on your desk dimensions, where you put the monitor on the desk, and how far away you sit from the desk the distance can vary dramatically. I'm going to assume 2.5 ft.? I would recommend a 24" or 27" for 3-4 ft. distances. This also partially depends on the resolution of the monitor and your own personal preferences.

Haha, you guys watch your monitors from too far away. My monitor is an ASUS VW246H, from 2009, 24". When I'm not playing, I'm usually 2 feet away from the screen. If I were farther than that, I'd need to put on my glasses (I'm nearsighted). And when I'm playing games, I'm 1 foot away maximum. It's great to play first person games like that, with big ingame field of view.
