How efficient is your psu? With a typical 80% efficiency that is down more than 100 watts sitting in a bit less than 450 watt, it is definitely not plenty. If anything it is borderline.
It's an RM550 80 Plus Gold. Also, the PSU still outputs 550 Watt, it will just pull more energy from the socket.

Yeah, you are right about efficiency and how it works with psus. I had the wrong impression it seems on how it works, oh well Tongue ... Happy gaming then.

Got a Lenovo y40-80 laptop.
Came with a defective N key (bottom half won't respond unless I press extremely hard).
Sending in for repair.

So I can't update my Intel HD drivers for some reason. When I try, I get a timeout exception. I've tried rolling back drivers, manually installing them, everything. The only thing I can try now is to flash custom BIOS that update a lot of stuff that SAGER didn't, because I don't want to have to reinstall my OS just yet.

I'm looking to finally get a mechanical keyboard, and so far my research has suggested to me that I want a Gigabyte Aivia Osmium with Cherry MX Brown switches for £77. It's the cheapest thing I've seen with Cherry MX Brown switches and all the buttons. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Don't cheap out. And don't get anything that's plate mounted instead of PCB mounted. You'll regret it if you ever want to swap out the switches for something different.

What counts as not cheaping out? I've also yet to see a single mention of plate vs PCB mounted switches anywhere.

For reference, the cheapest Corsair full keyboard with brown switches I can find is a K70 for £120, or I could get an incredibly obnoxious-looking Cooler Master Quick Fire Storm for £83 etc (here's the Scan page because Amazon sucks at supplying things with a UK layout and seems to be 120-200% the price of Scan: http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/all/keyboards-mice/mechanical-gaming-keyboards).
