tbh the benchmarks are all over the place, with some reporting it as faster than an i7 7700k, while others even claim it's slower than a FX 8350.

I have a R7 1700, i could run one if you want, but i have no idea of how to properly do a benchmark.

Would you be so kind and run the old benchmark:

There's a newer benchmark, but the result from the old one could be compared better to the older results from other cpus.

Got 10 minutes 29 seconds, about 30 seconds less than an i5-3570k.
Note that i'm running it with a 400MHz OC (3.4GHz), with DDR4 ram at 2660MHz (CAS 16). I also had quite a few programs running while doing so.
Will try at stock speeds without running anything else later, can't afford to reboot right now.

11 minutes 24 seconds at stock clock (3.0GHz), with nothign else running. W10 X64, by the way.

Thank you. So it is quite a bit faster than intel's Ivy Bridge, but still a bit slower than Haswell. That's what i was afraid of. Maybe some windows 10 update will fix this, i've read about some cache issue in windows, that is caused by Ryzen not sharing the cache among with all cores. It might be worth it to repeat this in a few weeks/months.

If the OS isn't scheduling workloads efficiently among physical / logical threads that could also fuck up performance.
