I know that. I'm keeping them at 800/1200 DPI anyways.

But it should at least have a Optical sensor and DPI increase/decrease buttons.

EDIT: I just learned about pixel skipping. Maybe keeping it at 800 DPI isn't such a good idea after all.

This one has the highest customer rating on amazon and it's only $15 , 8 Programmable Buttons , 5 colors , 4000DPI
Edit : It doesn't have the head-shot button like that M65 though

I've decided to kind of build a new PC. I've already bought a new case and motherboard (ASRock Z170 PRO4), and plan on getting a new processor (Intel Core i5, most likely a K variant), and RAM (haven't decided whether or not to go with 16GB or just 8, probably will go for 16), but everything else -- video card, hard drive, keyboard, monitor, etc. -- will remain the same. Hopefully, when it's done, it'll bring massive speed improvements to Dolphin and other games.

Hey folks,

Has anyone looked at the GTX 1050 (/Ti)? I tried searching and got pointed to this thread but didn't see any posts looking a few pages back from here.

I'm interested in finding a low power draw GPU (and CPU) that can run Dolphin stably at 100%, can the 1050 (or the Ti) do that at 1080p? Can it make it to 4K?

Being able to build a living room system that draws less than 200W would be awesome.

1050 can run Dolphin at 1080p without issue. Probably not 4k

Get yourself a skylake i3 with a high clock speed or a (now fairly deprecated) G3258 and overclock the hell out of it to roughly 4.2 ghz.

187w estimated. Pick your storage and case.

Thanks, that's close to the build I came up with myself. Interestingly, the motherboard I picked (don't remember which) had a max estimated draw of ~35W. Whats up with the 25W difference?

Do the extra 2GB of memory on the Ti matter? I'd probably take it for the peace of mind anyways...

Only if you're playing other PC games on it, but nah not really. Not for a HTPC that's main heavy workload would be emulation.

100MHz doesn't make any difference
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=i3+skylake&N=-1&isNodeId=1
You can get i3 6100 @ 3.7GHz for $30 less
Since these CPUs can't be overclocked, I think you should wait for Kaby Lake . Kaby lake has higher clock speed than skylake
For Example , i3 7300 @ 4.0GHz (51W) right out of the box
the i3 7300T @ 3.4GHz (35W) is also not a bad choice and you could run a fanless system with it

Man, the awesome thing about continuously putting off building this system is that hardware keeps getting better and better.  Big Grin

So I finally got my new PC working (specs posted on profile), but the weirdest thing is happening. My current, more modern-ish GPU (I believe it was released in 2012) will not work. The PC refuses to boot up at all when it's plugged in, it only runs the fans at a low speed. I am not a tech genius, and have probably messed up with something simple. At the moment, I have to use a weaker GPU. Hopefully the massive increase in processor power will offset the loss of GPU power. I have no idea, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
