I copied 500 GB of data from my old HDD to my new SSD, I then copied it all back because the SSD was broken and did it all again when I got a replacement. (I did all of this using copy paste in windows)

What about if symlinks were involved? I think I might actually have some on that drive.

I didn't even know an adapter like that even existed!  I think I'm going to have to buy one just to test it out on my 3 year old laptop.  I tell yah, I find out all sorts of cool things from users while perusing the Dolphin forums.

Usually, external GPU solutions that work well require the laptop to have thunderbolt support. This is usually limited to macs and higher end machines, which tend to already have GPUs. Make sure to do your research before buying anything.

Thunderbolt (USB type C) like the Razer Core is too expensive ($500 for a single adapter) . It isn't compatible with most laptops that have thunderbolt support
Only a few laptops work with it but it will lose connection randomly

In desktop PC , a GPU is connected through PCI Express slot . Laptop is also similar to desktop , Laptop has Mini PCI Express slot
Most laptop only have 1 Mini PCI Express slot for WIFI card
Actually I got GTX 750 TI working with my i5 4300M but I had to sacrifice WIFI card and I found it really silly to do that . My clevo gaming laptop has 3 slots . So I think I should give it a try
The RX 480's temperature scare me out though

If you don't mind about the power brick though
It's fricking larger than a real brick and weigh a ton . Unfortunately , I can't seem to find any smaller adapter that has 8 pin connector

Should I do research?  Are you sure about that?  I was just going to blindly purchase it without thinking.  Good thing you reminded me.

In the near future , we may be able to run 2 different cards as one , not SLI or Crossfire !
Actually there is one game that can support this feature

I'm so hyped for this . Can't wait to run game with GTX 860M + "enter your dream GPU here"

86W from PCI-E idle. PCI-E spec is 75W lol.

Sometimes spikes to 150! Big Grin

nice.

Hopes are they can fix that through a firmware or driver update.

That's for the whole board though, but yeah there's a lot of discussion going on about that. Really hope they can fix those issues.

As for D3D12 EMA, it'd be cool if it gets widely supported. Maybe for VR for AMD since the GTX 10xx series can use SMP for that instead.

In other news; finally got a GTX1080 after waiting for over a month and having fun with the amazing Intel HD530. So far so good.
