Decently thrown together build?

nice deal on that PSU. i would get a dedicated sound card but my priorities are probably different than yours
also you might want to invest in a few extra fans...

with the release of skylake, how long do you think until the price of its predecessors lower in price?
Arch

Never. It's extremely rare that Intel does that. Usually they just replace the old lineup of cpus with the new lineup at the same price points.

Not true.

DatKid20 Wrote:No heatspreaders on the ram?

Low power ram does not need it.  2133 MHz is low for DDR4.  Heatsinks can also get in the way of cpu hsf's.

Shameful display!

From the benches I've seen. Yes. Skylake doesn't play well with lower frequency DDR4 ram

You can get snake oil on Steam now if you need any.

Intel hasn't done any significant price cuts since Core2.  You have to buy used from upgraders.

Those are good components. I prefer the Gaming MSI version of that card though as it has a better fan on it.

not snake oil, just not as useful as people often think.
usually the ones you get stock are pretty much snake oil though.

Heatspreads look good. Isn't that why you buy certain ram? :p

Just tried to grab the cheapest parts. I'll probably make a better build when my friend goes to actually build his rig sometime in September.
