Pentium Dual Core E6300 (2.8ghz) or Core 2 Duo E6300 (1.86ghz)?

Either way, Pentium Dual Core E6300 is the right choice.
The gs suffix on nvidia cards means: low end, you won't be able to run any games with those.

euh CacoFFF, i doubt the gs would be that low not to support 2.1 opengl or do any decent drawing

I took pc games into account too.
Ok 8600gs might do the job well, but I'm sure that 8400gs will fail epically to run Dolphin, not to mention higher resolutions and filters.

not so sure why. i mean, afaik the 8600GS isn't that much different from the GT and my GT runs dolphin or any game nicely o_O;

Every game behaves differently, so in general means: More than I can, which is good.
Make sure you get a 64 bit OS.

Why dont you swap the gfx cards in those computers? would give you a good computer and there is no purpose to have a computer with a good cpu and decent gpu and a comp with a pretty bad cpu and a great gpu when you can have one computer with a great cpu and gpu
