Hi guys:

First of all, I have to post this here because I can't create a new thread in the GameCube tag.

I want to change some attack names in Pokemon Colosseum. I have been investigating about it and I know I can do that with Dolphin, but I don't find the answer to this question. Can I transfer those changes to the original disc of Pokemon Colosseum? I mean, like a patch. How can I do that?

Thanks.

For the record, this is the appropiate forum to ask such questions. What you want to do is hack the game. Generally, if you wanted to distribute your changes (to other Dolphin users), you'd make a patch file. It's possible to play your hack on real hardware, but you'd probably have to use a pre-patched game with a loader on a hacked Wii, or something similar to Nintendont for the Wii U.

Now, as for actually hacking GameCube games (and Pokemon Colosseum in general) that's not a simple answer I can provide. You'd ideally need to do research into both how the GC works on some level, and what sort of memory you'd need to edit in Pokemon Colosseum. However, if you google around for "Pokemon colosseum hacking tools" there is evidently a fair amount of information, like this thread here.

What a pity! I had thought make a patch just for me because is a personal translation of the name attacks into spanish and I wanted to play it with my Gamecube.

Thx for your answer.
