GT240 DDR3 or get a new one?

I've 232$ to waste in a new GPU, however, notice the HD6870 costs over $400 here in Venezuela (freaking thiefs).

I plan to play 720p or 1280x1024.

There's no need to create a new thread.
You already have one, why didn't you continue the building in that thread?

You should be able to go up to x2 IR with that card.
The DDR3 version of the GT240 has a 25.6 GB/sec memory bandwidth in comparison to the GDDR5 version with 54.4GB/sec.

So depending on what you plan to do later, (play at higher resolutions, play PC games at high/ultra settings, Dolphin at higher resolution), we can decide whether it's worth upgrading or not.

Well to be honest, I wanted to create another thread, so people with the same doubt can find it easier.

What resolution is the 2.5x IR

About 1680 x 1050, I believe.

Oh amazing, I'm wondering, because thanks to god I'll be allowed to get a 1080p screen, can this 1080p screen play 720p games right?. I mean, like with that resolution?.

1080p screens are almost always able to play lower resolutions.
And yeah, 1080p is amazing.
