I just wanted to say if this was the commit that was just merged to master I am now experiencing much better performance with higher IR's even with games such as Super Mario Galaxy 1/2. Thanks! Big Grin

I get about 46fps average on SMG title screen with the Test build and 41fps on the master build linked. Used default settings and IR.

Do we still need testers for this or was this merged as Xtreme2damax suggested? I have a G3258 and GTX 750 and would be happy to help. I have LOZ TP and LOZ SS if those results help.

It was merged already; just let us know if you find problems with performance in master as of this merge.

The frame rate may be identical, but this change seems to negatively affect performance on dual-core CPUs (frequent framerate drops, stutering, stalls) when there are heavy hard drive accesses / shader cache generation.

The old method (no yielding) produced very stable framerates even during heavy HDD "grinding" on a fragmented hard drive.
