Bug
Hi all,
I fixes a couple things on the wii save export and while it "works for me", I would appreciate testing from other sources.

changes: The copy protection flag is removed from banner.bin during export.
this allows super smash bros and mario kart to be imported to a wii(U) without needing homebrew.
headers for files in subdirs are created correctly now.
previously it did not include the folder ex: filename
now properly set to: subdir/folder

saves that contain folders called "nocopy" or "nomove" probably wont work without homebrew, I assume that the system menu uses simply the name for this protection as a "nocopY" folder will copy to the system, with the same permission bits as the original

builds are here

I would try testing, but.... My SSD Just failed >:/ *Sigh* Im kinda dead in the water right now. My Storage drive works, im gonna have to reinstall ubuntu on the partition I made on it for that.

Ill try ASAP, Would love to be able to copy SSBB save files Big Grin

Edit: LPFaint, do you have any Linux builds? Im stuck on Ubuntu currently, and not very knowledgable on compiling huge program constructs like dolphin, especially since im on Linux lol.

Edit 2: I have the dependencies to compile, just need a source if possible.

Can you elaborate more on what you want us to test? I'm guessing moving saves from Dolphin to Wii? Having something more specific will help us testers a lot.

sure thing, I just would like confirmation that you can move saves from dolphin to wii(u) using the system menu to copy them to the wii (no homebrew).

source is the wiiSaveExportFixes branch from the googlecode git repo

To test:
export a save in dolphin using the right click menu on a wii game or Tools > export all wii saves
copy/move the private folder to the root of your sd card
on the wii, make sure that you have played the game at least once,
delete the existing save for the game (preferably a game that you don't care about)
attempt to copy the save from the sd card to the wii system

So this is only for Wii U owners then? "wii(u)" made me thought it was either Wii or Wii U, like how muffin(s) would mean either muffin or muffins. Lol. See, specifics! They're great.

testing on either is appreciated Smile

I expect any game that doesn't give a warning popup when exporting should copy fine to a wii or wiiu
if the game gives the warning about 'nocopy' it won't work

I believe all games should successfully export, but if a game fails to export, please let me know what game, and upload a copy of the games save folder and point me to it
