I'm starting to think there's some kind of timing sensitive issue using new AX HLE that only happens in some games. The Pacman world 2 intro screen issue seems to be very timing-dependent (basically, the DSP processes audio before a certain DMA request completed, which causes it to read invalid samples every 20ms). If this kind of issues is more widespread, it might be what's causing the issues on Windows as well.
