You can't play sunshine without EFB to RAM, disabling it also disabled certain gameplay elements (it's not only for "better graphics").

Pretty sure EFB to RAM is needed for the goop to act right. Meaning it goes away when it's supposed to when water hits it and acts as it's supposed to in all situations.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1
CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1)
RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333

I remember a couple of months ago when I thought I had discovered that you could use EFB to Texture and still play Super Mario Sunshine just fine, turned out to be a setting in the game ini that made the game run EFB to RAM anyway.

So yeah EFB to RAM is pretty much a must.

I just recently made the same discovery Big Grin The Dolphin Wiki had this information as well, but I've since corrected it.

I've noted that when using "EFB Copies to Texture" the game looks fine, plays fine. However, when you spray the goo with water, it seems to disappear but when Mario walks over it, it's as if the goo was still there!
