hmm i've had several nvidia geforces,
4000 series never had an issue with whichever one i had
5500 failed after 4 years service on my parents comp so not bad
8800 worked fine, gave to a friend whose still using it
9500 i blew up that one overclocking it too high
After blowing up the 9500 i went to an ATI 4650 cause it was cheap, very good card. Installed a gt 240 today though which has twice the performance of the ati card (cant really compare them but idc) ati 4.6k in 3dmark06, 240 9942 (have pics if you don't believe the ati or nvidia ones
keep the haters on both sides happy lol, although i still score crap on FFIV benchmark which is what i care about, at least with NVIDIA card the game is "playable" lol )
....Yeah i guess i'm stuck on NVIDIA but i wouldn't mind having another ATI, i just prefer NVIDIA it's the same for IntelvsAMD (Intel ftw!), they do the same thing theres good and bad things about each it's just users taste.
As for suggestion there all the same card running at the same frequencies with the same ram, so there not really any competition at all, it's all gonna be down to who you prefer in manufacturer, i've only had ASUS cards out of those 3 and havent been able to fault them on quality so i guess my suggestion is the ASUS one.
Oh and one more thing 512mb and 1GB doesn't really make that much difference on a graphics card, i have 512mb and i can run most games on max (probably all of them with this new card (that i've played/own) @ 1440x900 it's more the type of ram which is more important for gaming as long as the card got 512mb+ you'll be fine
