I need your help Sad

I'm very new to the emulator thing (although so far I'm eating it up). I started with the usual NES and SNES, then N64, and now GC/Wii. My current computer (I built it to be an HTPC with a very under powered CPU) handles all the NES and SNES games but starts to lag with some of the more demanding N64 games.

Anyway, I know its time for an upgrade if I'm going to run Dolphin so my question is this: What graphics card with HDMI output will allow me to play the Zelda titles with very few hangups? I have already seen some suggestions but as I'm still a noob to building computers I just thought I'd ask. Thanks in advance for any information you guys can supply.

I have already purchased;

i5 2500k
Asus p8h67m pro
case with plenty of fans
750w psu

I will be purchasing;

G.Skills Ripjaw X series 16gb DDR3 1333mhz

As GPU, i would choose the HD 6870.

btw: Why did you buy an H67 MoBo? With this, you can't overclock your i5-2500k... A P67/Z68 is needed.

For very few hangups you need a good processor which you already have, now if only you could OC it?

I really appreciate the quick reply AND all the info on the mobo. I thought that there were overclock options for the board but when you sent that I immediately got on the line with Newegg and got the order fixed.

I will have the P67 board Smile

I guess that brings up a new question though Sad

Is there any point in getting high (2200, 2133, or 1866) mhz ram? I would go 1600 at least now that the mobo supports it.

No.

You won't recognize any differences. (only on benchmarks). The difference between 1333 and 1600 is very, very small.

Processes to be executed are loaded into the RAM, the faster the speed of the RAM, the faster processes get loaded (your programs open)

But as DefenderX said, it doesn't make a noticeable difference.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

well... maybe.

But not with RAM Wink Yea, DDR3 @ 2200 MHz is really faster, but the difference between 1333 and 1600 is, i said that already, very small.
