Graphic Backend Question

Hello,

I haven't used Dolphin in quite a while. Just got a new PC Setup and I have started using it. I love it so far. I have read on different websites that some people use a Direct X 11 backend for their graphics. Under my graphics backend it only has Direct3D and Open GL listed. Is the Direct3D backend the Direct X 11 one? I am sort of confused I hope someone can help and explain this to me.

Thanks,

Dustin

Yes. Dolphin used to have two Direct3D backends, version 9 and version 11. Version 9 was removed a while ago, and then version 11 was renamed to not include a version number.

Your profile shows that you've got an nVidia GPU, though, so the OpenGL backend will run better in any game that doesn't require EFB  copies to RAM.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56
