GPU Speed and Sound?

How much would GPU speed affect sound? Mine's at about 2GHZ, and every single one of my games seems to have some sound issue (DKCR: super choppy+laggy, SMG1: music cuts out, XB: crackling, Muramasa: Laggy audio). I've perused the forums quite a bit (and yes, use LLE), but nothing seems to work. Is it my computer..? Or my settings?

Your CPU is too weak to use LLE.

You can eventually try the "VBeam trick": disable Idle Skipping and enable VBeam (right click your game, go into Properties, check the option)

Your post doesn't make sense
GPU -> Graphics Processing Unit (Nvidia GTX 660M)
Quote:Mine's at about 2GHZ,
It's CPU clock rate , not GPU
Without turbo boost (2.8GHz) , your CPU base clock is too slow for most games

Well.

I feel stupid now.

Yes, I meant CPU. Wow. Anyway, that out of the way, what to do...I don't know much about TB. I don't suppose that's a software upgrade, as oppose to hardware..? All I can find is Intel press releases and the like >_>

For reference, I've an Intel i7-2630qm.

Even with TB it won't be enough for most games either

If your laptop does not overheat with Dolphin , turbo boost should work automatically
You can use "Realtemp" to check your CPU clock rate when dolphin is running
And you must verify if Dolphin is using Nvidia GTX 660M at 100% or idle or not using Nvidia GPU at all (Intel HD 4000 is used)
http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-vid...recognized
As stated above , even with Turbo Boost 2.8GHz , there is absolutely no way you can get good performance with LLE backend . You should stick with HLE
SMG is very demanding . an i5 2500k @ 4.4 or i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz is recommended
DKCR : Right-click the game -> Properties -> Tick "Enable Vbeam"

Well, it certainly recognizes my card...

Ah, fantastic. Ok, so TB IS automatically working (2.8 with dolphin, as per real temp). HLE/Vbeam gets great results with DKCR.

I was getting fine performance(ie, no lag at all) with SMG and LLE; it was just that my BGM was cutting out, which apparently was fixed with LLE. Oh well. I can do without the music, although on an interesting side note, SMG2 works perfectly either way. XB is also working perfectly with LLE enabled.

Which is apparently odd, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? Thanks for the quick replies!
