Question
Hello everyone, just got a couple issues going on here perhaps someone could help with quick.

First issue is with my Xbox controllers for windows. Now they configure correctly and work but in some games it constantly cycles through menu options on menus. Looking at the Dolphin config for my controller in the program for some reason the red marker on my joysticks are stuck in the bottom or right edges. Not sure if that means much. I say some games because it acts fine in other's.

The second issue I need more of clarification than anything. Most games run pretty good on my system except EA games for some reason are real hit and miss. Sports in particular. Now for instance I can run Knockout Kings 2003 just fine, no issues but games like Madden 2005, NCAA Football 2005 and Fight Night Round 2 will run and they run at 60 FPS for a bit, then drop to 40 or so, then back up to 50 then down to 20 and so on. I thought it was just sports games in general but playing games like NHL Hitz 2003 will run fine, aside from lag during instant replays. I've tinkered with all kinds of in-game settings and I know my PC isn't an i5 or i7 and I understand the difference between emulation and PC gaming and all.

Basically i'm just wondering are EA sports games not fully emulated yet or is it truly something with my PC? Specs below...

Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit
AMD FX-8320 @ 4.0 Ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6870 w/ 14.2 Catalyst Drivers
12 GB G.Skill DDR3 1333 RAM
Dolphin 4.0-1242

the EA sports games are extremely slow games. Your processor is just not fast enough for them. Madden 2006 barely runs 60 fps on my Core i5 3570K, for instance, and it still drops during certain camera angles.

About your controller, it's probably just configured wrong. Go back through the dolphin gcpad configuration on the sticks and it should work right next time.
