Its not that its running bad or slow it just likes to drop down in the 80s when running and it even froze during the cutscreen when you suppose to meet up with Zelda for the first time.Not really sure what backend is but i am using dx11 atm for most Wii games and dx9 for GC games.
Good Specs For Both GC&Wii Games?

Bulldozer is up to 15% slower clock for clock than a Phenom II due to low IPC performance
Sandy Bridge (i3 2100, i5 2500k) is up to 40% faster clock for clock than Phenom II Ivy Bridge (i3 3220 , i5 3570k) is faster than Sandy Bridge Slow-down is expected on that FX-8150 . Meh ,as long as i can play game , i don't even care about that Btw , i don't have much time to play game atm Laptop: Mini PC :: 11-06-2012, 05:02 AM
Well would my specs be good enough for most Mario and Zelda games? These are the main games i want to play for now.I do wanna upgrade but i wont yet unless those will be a problem and your saying forget the i7 series cause they will do worse then the i5 series? (im talking about the higher end cpus in these series btw)

So a simple upgrade to this ------> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819116504
Changes all that and i run pretty much anything dolphin can throw at me? But yes, an overclocked i5-3750K will play Dolphin quite well in a majority of situations. There are certain games that can't be played well with current consumer hardware at all (CoD:Big Red One or sth like that using Dolphin's CPU Interpreter), but for everything else, it'll play just fine. 11-06-2012, 07:07 AM
Im thinking of just waiting for newer versions of dolphin are released to farther stable games sadly i might have to wait abit
Quote:your saying forget the i7 series cause they will do worse then the i5 series?I didn't say that . There are 3 generation Core i series : Nehalem < Sandy Bridge < Ivy Bridge i7 , i5 , i3 are nothing without the model number behind it i7 930 2.8GHz is 1st gen Nehalem (4 cores 8 threads) i5 760 2.8GHz is 1st gen Nehalem (4 cores 4 threads) i7 3930k 3.2GHz is 2nd gen Sandy Bridge E (6 cores 12 threads) i7 2600k 3.4GHz is 2nd gen Sandy Bridge ( 4 cores 8 threads) i5 2500k 3.3GHz is 2nd gen Sandy Bridge (4 cores 4 threads) i7 3770k 3.5GHz is 3rd gen Ivy Bridge ( 4 cores 8 threads) i5 3570k 3.4GHz is 3rd gen Ivy Bridge (4 cores 4 threads) With Hyper Threading (8 threads or 12 threads) + max out the capabilities of all core : i7 930 > i5 760 ,i7 2600k > i5 2500k , i7 3770k > i5 3570k , i7 3930k > i7 3770k Dolphin doesn't care about HT . No matter how many core your CPU have , Dolphin only uses 3 cores . Dolphin : i7 930 ~ i5 760 , i7 3930k ~ i7 2600k ~ i5 2500k , i7 3770k ~ i5 3570k and i5 2500k > i7 930 , i5 3570k > i7 3930k "~" : no noticeable performance , almost equivalent You can buy i7 3770k(270$ - Microcenter) which is much faster than i5 3570k(170$ - Microcenter) in multi-threaded application . But you gain almost nothing in Dolphin . Laptop: Mini PC :: 11-06-2012, 12:00 PM
MY EYES!!!! IT BURNS!
Please don't color your text like that.

So i5 3570k with a correct motherboard would be just fine for GC games and if i want to play wii games near perfect just OC the cpu and im good to go?
