I wrote that before using the new HLE cleanup versions. MK-DD would not run with optimal settings on that. And, even now, it hardly runs.

Also, you sure about that overclocking bit? People tell my that my CPU isn't overclockable. My stock clock is 2.8/1.6(CPU-NB and HT) GHz and I'm running 3.45/2.44 right now.
in a perfect world we would all be piles of sand with no ability to form coherent bodies of body

I tested with the build that included the new HLE merge. He shouldn´t have problems with that game, at least on Time Trial mode on any course.

Yes, I´m sure. Same happens with my A6-1450 (it´s labeled as 1 GHz max, but right now is hitting 1.4. And so does every time I run intensive apps).
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.
