good controller to buy? (rather not get a wii mote)

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a controller to use playing games on dolphin. i'd rather not get a wiimote because I want to use it with other emulators as well; I don't mind being limited to gamecube games only. budget would be around £30 or less preferably - i was looking at the wired x-box 360 controller for PC ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Xbox-C...58&sr=8-14 ), would something like that work?

any help is really appreciated

On Dolphin any controller works, so I'm pretty sure that one will work as well.

The 360 controller should work great.

If you look for a REALLY good usb controller:

Saitek P2600

I have it for almost 5 years, still works perfectly. Works perfectly with project64 and zsnesw as well.

Note: it's the only (as far as I searched for it) one that has enough buttons (and placed at the right place) for emulating the "c buttons" of the n64 controller.

It has a rumble feature as well, works for my pc games, but I couldn't get it work with any emulator. I guess I'm not doing something right
