Well I was looking for one with a big screen I know AMD's aren't good with Mac or anything I'm willing to buy from best buy or Staples possibly Amazon. I really like big screen laptops. How was the one I posted? Thanks for helping me!

I can't find a large screen laptop with a discrete GPU in your price range. Sorry. The Acer ones I posted have small screens, but are fine otherwise. And you could always plug them into a larger monitor. 06-23-2012, 08:25 AM
What do you mean by a discrete GPU? What makes it discrete? How can you know if it's discrete?

The APUs are technically integrated, but they perform similarly to a low-end discrete GPU. As an example: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba+-+17...Id=4693054 Does not have a discrete GPU. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Acer+-+15.6%...Id=3823013 Does have a discrete GPU that is a good bit better than an integrated GPU and will provide better performance. This also has a decent screen for the price. As an example, here's Crysis 2 on an HD 2000. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A93DKoySW...er&list=UL And on Acer aspire. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rmkHFjKSoU The 520M is easily superior. Or an even better side-by-side comparison. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjI_c-Pc6...re=related Twilight Princess on a similarly spec'd laptop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQBxmJq-NAA Am I making sense here? 06-23-2012, 09:34 AM
Yeah I guess I'll have to expand my budget a bit. How about this one?

Worse than the Acer one I posted due to dolphin performance issues with the HD 4000. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6834215417 This is still my personal recommendation, due to having a better GPU than the 520m. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RbNM_1HaJ8 See? 06-24-2012, 12:10 AM
How about this one I hate to keep asking but I like to have options. You know?
http://shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office...otebook-PC You get to customize how you want it so how would I want to customize it? 06-24-2012, 12:49 AM
Those HP , Acer , Dell laptop are multimedia laptop , they can run PC games fine but sure overheat fast with dolphin
As i said in the first post ,either get gaming laptop or build desktop This is Clevo ultraportable gaming laptop . It cost 800 buck , 70C on full load which is nice for a small form factor laptop and you can customize or buy it directly (quick ship) Laptop: Mini PC :: 06-24-2012, 12:53 AM

I'd have to recommend the Clevo as well.
If you can't afford that, I'd still recommend the Acer Aspire if you can keep it cooled well. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6834215417 And here's the Acer Aspire with a larger screen, as you asked: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6834215408 |
