_700-1000$ range does not have good cooling design , it will overheat after a long period of using Dolphin . Gaming Laptop usually cost more than 1000$ . You should build gaming desktop for only 500-700$ . My laptop cost 700$ but i remodeled the cooling design so it's fine with dolphin
_If you want to stick with laptop till the end then buy a laptop have : i5 3210M / i5 2450M + Nvidia GT 630M / Nvidia Gt 540M / AMD 6650M / AMD 7670M (notebookcheck.net) . Or wait a few months till prices drop (i5 3210M)

Build a desktop.
Seriously.
And it is not hard if you can read an instruction manual.

Also, budget.

People generally don't build laptops.

Replace normal thermal compound with aftermarket thermal compound ( Arctic MX-4,Shin-Etsu X23...) . I cut the bottom of my laptop then place super thin 40mm fansink there
Laptop Cooling Pad won't help much , i tried

This is $600, and can play Skyward sword at 1080p.

$700 if you add windows. (linux is free, just saying.)

Or a monitor if you don't have one.

The G860 gives comparable performance to the i3 2100 in Dolphin in most cases.
My i5 2300 is only really faster than them when using LLE audio + LLE on thread.

Going to bed, will respond tomorrow.
