Goldeneye Choppy Audio

My system:

Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz

Nvidia 9600m GT 512 MB

8 GB RAM

Goldeneye runs great in the training section, but when I get to the Dam and there is a lot of different audio happening it starts to stutter and the audio is choppy, slowing down the framerate.

What I have tried:

OpenAL with a high latency setting (30) - improves it a little bit, still not great

Running the game at 150%-170%, also improves it, but not great

Using the lowest resolution (Native) setting, helps, but not great

I am trying to eliminate the problem altogether - I have also used the default non-OpenAl setting, but stuttering is very bad starting at the Dam

I should mention that my system already had an OpenAL driver for the pc game Thief, would this make a difference? How does the emulator handle OpenAl - I assume that it is built in to the emulator? I am hoping that my installed OpenAL is not conflicting with the emulator's version of OpenAL

Thanks!

It's the other way around. If emulation isn't running fast enough to keep the framerate at 100% speed, it makes the audio stutter.

To use the OpenAL driver from Thief, rename "OpenAL32.dll" in the dolphin folder to something else.

Although it might help, I think this game is too demanding for your CPU.
