So I am building a new rig for my HTPC/emulator and I am not sure which GPU to purchase. Dolphin is by far the most resource intensive so I am here asking for your opinions. So far I have a Core2 Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz, 4GB DDR2 RAM but I am without a GPU and I can't proceed until I get one because I do not want integrated graphics at all. These are the two I was considering:

Help me out here I don't know which will perform best.

Nvidia 520 : no AA , Internal Resolution : 1x , AF : 2x (wii native res)
AMD 6570 : no AA , Internal Res : 2x , AF : 16x (720p)
AMD 6670 : no AA or AA 2x , Internal Res : 3x , AF : 16x (1080p)

If your going to choosing between the ones you posted no matter what then go with the 6570, other wise try to find something more powerful.

Decided to go with this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814102958

it looks good to me, was trying to get away with nto buying a PSU but I suppose its not that bad. Here is the rest of the build...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182044

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163174

In total these three parts is going to run me $200 and where I didn't have to pay for the motherboard, CPU, or RAM I would say that this is a good price point. The only other things I will need to get is a bluetooth dongle and a sensor bar for my Wiimotes, I think that will bump the price up another $28...still not bad considering what I can do with it.

That first link is the same as the second link posted by admin89, it's for a Sapphire GPU.

OP 6570 is a much better choice if you have to choose between those two

It's almost the same thing.. I 'm not sure looking at that but you'r probably right, the difference is very small anyways

Nope. A 9500GT is faster in every single game. Just because it's newer doesn't mean it's better. The GT 520 is specifically designed for media center systems.

Why would you recommend a 6570 over a 6670.
