My friend recently bought Xeon E5630 for 40$ which is a great deal (was 350$)
He paired it with a used Gigabyte 1366 mobo and managed to overclock it to 4.0GHz . (Notes : You can overclock Xeon E5630 , you can't do the same with Xeon 1230v3 )
Most games run full speed on it . Some demanding games don't get full speed though...
If you want to build a cheap gaming PC but don't mind on playing every single game at max speed , the Xeon E5630 is a better deal . However , if you don't overclock Xeon E5630 , you will get horrible experience in Dolphin
Btw , Xeon E5630 is first generation i7 without iGPU but it has more cache . The current i5/i7 is 4th gen which is up to 37% better performance per clock in Dolphin
