Nice! Thank you so much Alucard. BTW, if I go with i5-4670 or i5-4690, is there any other mobo cheaper than z97 that I could go with? Oh and when you said at the start of this topic that "either one of those two cpus will do you fine.", you meant the non-k versions, right? Or did you mean the K versions?

P.S.
Not trying to turn this into offtopic but I just remembered. Alucard is the name of that main guy in Hellsing, right? I watched the first episode only a few days ago and I kept thinking since the start of this topic that I've heard that name somewhere.

If you can get a good factory overclocked (non-reference) R9 270 for the same price, that would be an even better deal.

With a non-reference R9 270 you're actually getting the performance of a R9 270X, but with none of its drawbacks (power consumption and noise).

The ASUS model is a good chioice, since it features upgraded components and a superior cooler, so you can overclock it further and still have a cool and quiet PC.
MSI also makes good non-reference boards.

Yeah that is true either one will work. K is preferred for many reasons ( it will overclock! incase you need some more power.)
If the K version is a little bit pricey which it will be i would go for that one.
haha that is true about the name of alucard. I actually got it from castlevania 3
Also take note on what kirbypuff says ^. Very useful info!

First forget the 4670, the 4690 is the newer model at unbelievably, £1 cheaper.
Second forget the non-K versions, for an extra £10, you get the 4690K. Unless that is you fancy joining me in the delidders club (no, seriously, don't do it). Also K chips have a higher resale value so you won't lose that tenner.

You get a massive choice of motherboards, from the super cheap yet suprisingly good value MSI H81M-E33 to about as much cash as you want to spend

http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-H81M-E33-LGA1150-M-ATX-Motherboard/dp/B00EPB87T6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425260025&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+H81M-E33

Ths 1150 socket (used by all 4 chips) is well supported, the price band you choose from depends on what you want to plug into it and do with it. Don't risk expensive components on cheap motherboards, and don't expect a £35 motherboard to like you whopping up the voltages like you are trying to reanimate Frankensteins monster.

Thanks kirbypuff but there is no such thing as non-reference R9 270 here in India unless I'm mistaking in identifying the product.

Wow! Thanks much Zooke! This answers all my questions so far. TBH this will be only used for pc gaming and dolphin gaming and in fact, not really that hardcore, so I doubt it'll be anything like reanimating Frankenstein lol

So I believe MSI H81M-E33 will do work for me because at this point, I'm just trying to save as much cash as I can for the rest of my build. Will that be okay? Or should I go with z97 pro4?

And one last question: R9 270 says it needs at least 450w PSU. So should I get a 450w PSU or a higher one? And do I need any cooling for this sytem?

Thanks Sm1ggs. Will this classify as a good psu? http://www.ebay.in/itm/CORSAIR-VS550-550W-ATX-Power-Supply-/281564138099?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

Unlocked k CPU with a locked OC mobo ? Who would be fool enough to do that
Those i5 CPU don't stand a chance against Xeon that I recommended before . For PC gaming , Xeon is a better value since he don't overclock i5 anyway

Ok, lets settle this.

The prices I found in Rs for the 4690k and the Xeon 1230v3 were miles apart.

OP please quote your best prices to buy these because from what I could find on Snapdeals and Amazon, it's a no-brainer.
